✨ Aurora Children's Therapy Limited – 3 Years in Business! ✨

Today marks 3 years since I officially launched Aurora Children’s Therapy Limited, and I couldn’t be more grateful.

Over the past three years, I’ve had the honour of supporting and working with so many incredible children and families. Helping little ones grow, achieve their goals, and reach their full potential is truly my dream job – and I feel privileged every single day to do this work.

What started as a vision has now grown into something I could only have imagined back then. I’m so excited to announce that Aurora Children’s Therapy is expanding - I am currently advertising to take on another OT!

To all the families who have trusted me, the colleagues and professionals I’ve collaborated with, and everyone who has cheered me on – thank you. Your support has made this journey possible, and I can’t wait to see what the next chapter brings.

Here’s to more milestones, more growth, and more moments of joy as we continue helping children shine bright like the aurora. 🌈💫

Aurora Children's Therapy is growing, and we’re looking for a passionate, experienced Occupational Therapist to join our dedicated team!

If you hold Level 2 or Level 3 Sensory Integration training and are driven to make a meaningful difference in children’s lives, we’d love to hear from you.

What We’re Offering
- Flexible consultancy role: 6 hours per week to start
- Hybrid working: carrying out therapy sessions in schools and homes across Suffolk and Essex. There will be remote work doing admin
- Supportive, forward-thinking team culture
- Mileage reimbursement for travel using your own car
- Opportunities for ongoing professional development

What We’re Looking For
- Qualified Occupational Therapist
- Level 2 or Level 3 Sensory Integration training
- Passion for supporting children in schools and helping them thrive

It’s been a hot and sensory-challenging week 🌡️—we’ve seen extra restlessness and lots of kids struggling to regulate with the heat 🥵.

It’s a fantastic opportunity to connect with colleagues from around the world and explore the latest research and developments in sensory integration. I'm really looking forward to learning, exchanging ideas, and bringing new insights back to my practice.

🌿 Forest School OT Fun! 🌿

Today’s occupational therapy session was all about exploration, engagement, and nature play! 🍂 We used this Nature Scavenger Hunt board during our session at a Forest School — searching for leaves, feathers, acorns, and even something fuzzy 🐛.

Outdoor play isn’t just fun — it’s powerful therapy. Nature-based activities support:

- Fine motor skills (picking up and placing small items)
- Sensory regulation (textures, sounds, smells)
- Social interaction and communication
- Motor planning and problem-solving
- Mindfulness and emotional regulation

Getting outside stimulates both body and brain 🌱
