Low Mood or Depression? Know the Signs.

Coaching and Counselling: Knowing What You Need

There’s so much value in both coaching and counselling — and they often work beautifully together. But they serve different purposes.

Coaching is future-focused: it helps you take action, set goals, and step into your potential.
Counselling — especially with a trauma-informed counsellor — supports healing when anxiety, stuckness, or deep emotional patterns keep resurfacing.

Trauma isn’t always a single dramatic event.
Sometimes, it’s being left alone with overwhelming thoughts… feeling unsafe expressing emotions… or learning to suppress parts of yourself just to get by.

These experiences live in the body and nervous system — and no amount of mindset work or positive reframing can strategize them away.

When anxiety or burnout are rooted in trauma, we need more than coping tools.
We need space to gently heal the past, not just mask the symptoms.

Healing takes time. It isn’t a six-session fix.
It’s a compassionate process of understanding, safety, and repair — at your pace.

Coaches and therapists both have something powerful to offer.
Let’s just make sure people get the right support, at the right time.

Exam results are coming… and it’s okay to feel everything.
Maybe you’re excited. Maybe you’re proud.
Maybe you’re disappointed… or a little scared about what comes next.
Maybe it’s all of the above.

Here’s the truth: you are so much more than a grade or a piece of paper.

At Castle Counselling, we’re here to support you through whatever this next chapter holds – whether that’s:
✨ Anxiety about university or placements
✨ Disappointment or fear about the future
✨ Uncertainty in relationships or life direction

Self-care matters right now. Take time to rest, reach out to people who lift you up, and be gentle with yourself.

Whatever your result, you don’t have to face the feelings alone. We’re here to help you make sense of it all, find your next steps, and create new meaning in your journey.

🌿 Emotional Wellbeing in Unstructured Times

When routines shift — like during school holidays or quieter work seasons — it can affect our mood, motivation, and mental wellbeing. Even adults feel the impact of less structure.

It’s okay to feel unsettled. These changes can bring hidden stress.

Therapy offers a supportive space to make sense of these feelings, build coping tools, and restore balance — especially during life’s more unpredictable moments.

Be kind to yourself. And remember, support is always available.
We offer a free 10-minute no obligation telephone call. Contact us at https://castlecounsellingservice.co.uk

“How do I stop overthinking everything?”
It’s one of the questions we hear most often — and we completely understand how overwhelming it can feel. That loop of second-guessing, replaying conversations, or trying to plan for every possible outcome can be exhausting.

Here’s what we often say:
Overthinking isn’t the problem itself — it’s a sign that something deeper is going on underneath. Something in your system is feeling uncertain, unsafe, or unresolved.

What we often find beneath overthinking is:

Fear of making the wrong decision
Pressure to be perfect or stay in control
Past experiences where trust, safety, or confidence were shaken
Your brain is trying to protect you — but in the process, it can keep you stuck.

In therapy, we help clients explore what’s driving those patterns and where they started. Together, we work to gently understand and shift them — so you can feel more confident, calm, and connected in everyday life.

If overthinking is holding you back, you're not alone.
📞 We offer a free consultation call to talk through what’s going on and whether therapy with us might be the right next step.
