A message from Dr Carolyn Richardson.
I will be retiring from my role as GP Partner on the 31st March 2026. After over 30 years working as a doctor, with the last 20 at Rowhedge & University of Essex Medical Practice, the time has come to relinquish some responsibilities and find a different way of working at the end of my career.
I consider myself most fortunate to have found the practice and population to work with for the majority of my career, balancing my interest in general healthcare with student health. It has been a privilege to have been trusted with your healthcare.
I am proud of the practice I have been involved in developing, achieving recognition for high standards of end of life care and gender health and registration as a training practice passing on our expertise to the next generation of doctors.
I leave the practice in the very capable leadership of Dr Speers, Dr Dawson and Dr Foster. Please support them and their team as they will be doing their best to continue to provide excellent standards of care with an ever-diminishing NHS budget and increasing Government expectations.
I wish you all the best of health.
