This is the time of year when many people step back, look at their lawn after the first cut 🌱… and notice moss everywhere.
That moss hasn’t suddenly arrived.
It’s been there quietly through winter, and mowing simply exposes it.
Moss is best thought of as an indicator rather than a fault 🔍. It points to underlying stress — often compaction, excess moisture, low oxygen in the soil, or weakened grass that can’t compete.
Treating moss alone can tidy things up temporarily, but without improving the conditions the grass grows in, it rarely delivers long-term results ⏳.
On larger lawns especially, a soil-first, steady approach usually brings the most reliable and lasting improvement 🌿.
If you’re seeing this now, it’s the right moment to look a little deeper than the surface. Maybe give us a look for a no obligation consultation and a tailored plan of attack.

**We now have spring slots open for large lawns, private estates, stately homes and commercial sites**

You know what ? That October 28th renovation on this 4100m2 lawn turned out quite well. Large lawns need a different approach and that’s why we do these later in the year - today’s Turf-Biotix®️ visit will make this pop in the next few weeks. Happy Client = Happy Lawno Team.

If you’re waiting for Spring to come before you think about starting to sort your lawn - you may as well wait till Autumn. Any good and reputable independent Lawncare business will be booked out for Spring, before they even enter Spring - and already we’re running out of space. Now really is the time to control the moss, think about aeration and to start a nutrient rich plan for soil and sward - honestly, don’t wait - there’s layers of Lawncare that need to be laid before a spring renovation can even take place.

There was a glimpse of sun yesterday - just a glimpse, and this Lawno client managed to get out and give his lawn its first cut. Given its winter - this lawn looks amazing. 10/10 Lawno points.

Big things are happening on Monday……

Large Lawns need a different approach before we even start with our proprietary & tailored Turf-Biotix treatment plans - Often, we will survey large sites from the air - it’s just easier to get a feel of the place before we map it out. This 15000m2 estate is booked in for some remedial work this spring after the 2025 drought. Timing, application and an appropriate seasonal approach is key on lawns of this size.

It’s almost here - daffs are poking through - we are slowly sauntering into Spring and it means one thing for us……….Reno Time.

So - the dwarf perennial rye grass wins, and the fescue didn’t. We tend to tailor our approach even down to the grass types for larger spaces - this 6000m2 space needs some love after last years drought. We’ve tailored a plan to bring it back, and part of that is consulting on what’s the best seed blend to use.

Great to be back on the lawns - this 4500m2 beauty is looking fabulous - to think, a few years ago it had been decimated by chafer grubs.
