Record breaking Wills month! 🧡

A huge thank you to Attwells Solicitors, Bolt Burdon Solicitors, Fisher Jones Greenwood LLP, John Fowlers LLP Solicitors, and Knights for being exceptionally kind and providing their services in lieu of a fee to St Helena Hospice for people wanting a Will, and some also powers of attorneys.

Wills Month this year has raised its highest total to date, an amazing £9,350 in addition to gifts being left in Wills.

In hospice language, this could fund care and support 29 families in crisis needs, in the depth of night, with a rapid response visit from a team of two SinglePoint nurses and a healthcare assistant in their home for three hours.

We are enormously grateful as are the families who will benefit in the future!

This week is national Trustees' Week and we are celebrating our Board of Trustees who all volunteer their skills, time and passion to guide and support the strategic direction of the hospice. 🧡

"I’m often asked why I became a charity trustee and how I manage to fit it in alongside my day job. Agile working and Teams meetings help, but yes, you do need to be organised. That said, it’s not difficult when the work is so meaningful and important. I feel privileged—and deeply proud—to be part of something that touches so many lives in Colchester and north east Essex."

Behind the scenes from last night's rehearsals for Cinderella, a pantomime written by Ben Crocker, performed by our very talented St Helena Hospice staff and volunteers and directed by advanced nurse practitioner Josh 👠🎃
