One thing I rarely talk about on social media is massage, which is a huge part of my business. In January I will have been offering sports and deep tissue massage for 25 years!!! I can't believe it when I say it. It was a classic case of falling into something that wasn't even close to being on my horizon. I had to qualify in it to pass a course in Personal training, but I had no intention of using it, until my tutor sowed a seed by saying 'with massage you've either got it or you haven't, you've got it and would be crazy not to use it'. So I gave it a go and 25 years later, here am. In that time I've long since ditched the PT, achieved a degree in counselling and psychotherapy, taken courses in nutrition, EFT and countless others. But I'm still massaging and I love it. I have been lucky enough to massage celebrities along the way, but I am even luckier to see the people I see week in, week out, some of whom have been coming to me for over twenty years 😍
If you would like to find out more about massage appointments feel free to message me on here or contact me on 07971660127.

I love receiving feedback like this from my EFT clients! We were dealing with a deep rooted emotional issue that they had been carrying for years. We did about half an hour of tapping on it and I received this that evening. EFT can be so fast acting and can free people from emotional issues and associated physical reactions in such a short time. To find out more feel free to contact me on 07971660127.

ONE WEEK UNTIL THE THREE PEAKS! In one week at this moment I should have completed Ben Nevis, made my way from Scotland to England and started trekking up Scafell Pike before a trip to Wales to make my way up Snowdon in Wales. Thank you so much to those who have sponsored me already to help those who need it in our city, through the ALB, I'm overwhelmed by the generosity. But it's not too late to sponsor me! All money raised will go to the charity as I'm self funding the event. In case anyone is wondering, the pic is with the amazing Peter Dutch who founded and tirelessly runs the ALB.

Only 7 weeks until I climb the highest peaks in Scotland (Ben Nevis), England (Scafell Pike), and Wales (Snowdon) in 24 hours. As well as that being a lot of climbing in a short time, it's also a lot of seizing up on a mini bus for a few hours in between mountains! Having just done a morning stint on the worst piece of equipment in the gym, the stair master, I figured it's time to up my pleading for sponsorship for this awesome the awesome charity that is the ALB. Any amount will help but no problem if you can't, and no problem if you can't today as there will be more pleas in tb be coming weeks. 🙏

I had a great morning massaging at the Boxted 10k! It was lovely to meet so many new people and help them to loosen off their legs and backs after the race. And it was also great to see a familiar face, a client who has been having massages with me for 20 years. I think this photo captures the rapport perfectly! I'm very lucky to have a number of clients who have been seeing me for years, and I really value the relationships I have built. ❤️

Happy Saturday everyone! Whether you fast or not try to make your first meal one full of protein. You will stay fuller for longer and you won't get energy slumps, bloating, cravings or weight gain that cereal or other carby breakfasts give you. And you will get so many more nutrients than a bowl of cereal can ever give you. Plus it will help with weight loss inflammation, diabetes and high cholesterol unlike cereal which will contribute to these. And to top it off, protein makes for a delicious breakfast!

Yesterday a friend and I did a gloriously sunny 14 mile training walk from Walton Pier to Clacton Pier and back again and I did the whole thing fasted. I'm a big fan of exercising fasted as our bodies carry almost limitless amounts of fat to burn which can keep you going for miles, unlike glycogen from carbs which is very limited and needs topping up regularly to replenish the fuel. It's a much steadier form of energy which to me is far more enjoyable than carb highs and crashes. However, it's not something I'd suggest you try without building up to it. Fasting, is so popular at the moment, most commonly eating in an 8 hour window and abstaining for 16 hours. It is so beneficial for the body in many ways, but what people often aren't told is that if you are going to fast but then eat the usual high carb foods in that 8 hour window, then all you will do is put your body under stress as it craves more carbs in the 16 hours of not eating. This in turn releases the stress hormone, cortisol, and you won't feel great! To fast we need to be fat adapted which means following a healthy low carb way of eating. Then when you fast your body will be able to jump straight into using stored fat as fuel and you will have endless energy with no post meal slumps. To find out more about fasting and low carb eating, feel free to contact me for a free discovery chat.

They say do something every day that scares you. I may not be managing every day but I've done some big ones this year so far and today was one of them. I had no intention of buying a bike, in fact I didn't even have that intention when I woke up this morning! In my adult life have been on a bike for two hours in my 20's and same again in my 40's 🤣, and the thought petrified me. But my kids wanted me to join them on a bike ride, and sometimes things happen in life that make you realise you need to seize the moment rather than make excuses. So I found a bike for sale locally, picked it up straight away and off we went! At first I looked like a 5 year old who had just had their stabilisers taken off, but it's true what they say, it's like riding a bike! And I had the best hour after school with the kids. It may seem crazy to those who are used to cycling but I'm very proud and even more so, surprised by this 🚲🚲🚲
What have you'd done lately that has scared you?

This meal is easy, cheap and very low carb/ keto. And delicious! The burgers are just shaped beef Mince, nothing added, cooked in the air fryer for 15 mins. The kids love them so they are a staple here as I'm on a mission to get good, clean protein into them as the hormones ramp up. And the mash is steamed cauliflower with some salt mashed with the fat from the burgers, but you can use whatever you would normally use with your usual mash to make it taste similar. This meal is protein packed, nutrient dense and completely unprocessed. The beef is high in zinc, b vitamins, iron and so much more and cauliflower is a great source of vitamins, particularly vitamin c.

A slow 3 miles this morning because half of it was hill training to prepare for the 3 peaks challenge. I love walking but going up and down the same hills gets a bit boring. We are limited around here, so I'm in need of suggestions. Firstly for any fairly local routes that are a circuit with hills throughout, and any podcast ideas to keep me entertained. I'm a bit late to the party and have never listened to a podcast just for fun rather than for learning more about my work related interests.
Also I'm posting my sponsorship page again in case anyone would like to sponsor me. I still have 4 months so plenty of time to do if you can spare anything, but I'll keep asking!
