Meet Kate

Kate is a highly qualified person-centred therapist with experience supporting a wide-range of clients in the Colchester community. She has worked with individuals facing anxiety, depression, family problems, low self-esteem and loss, offering a compassionate space to explore difficult emotions and challenges. Kate's approach is grounded in the belief that everyone has the potential to grow and improve when met with consistent acceptance, understanding and empathy.

Meet Marion
Trauma | Mens mental Health | Loss/Bereavement | Relationship Issues | Anxiety and Depression

Marion is an experienced integrative counsellor , where she blends various theories and techniques to cater to your unique needs. Her lived experience, and diverse professional background, including her former career as a midwife, brings a unique depth of understanding and empathy to her practice.

She believes strongly in the principle that every individual's journey and experiences are
unique, and her approach is always tailored to reflect this understanding, ensuring a truly
personalised and safe counselling experience.

Her passion is to ease your pain, guide you to
experience a full and happy life by becoming your authentic YOU and hero again.

Marion works with individuals from all walks of life, including a strong focus on supporting men through their unique challenges. She specialises in working with individuals who have experienced trauma, loss, bereavement and those clients who have suffered a loss of self or identity due to visible or invisible differences.

Marion's is dedicated to her profession which is evident through her support work with various charities, supporting veterans, the emergency services, sexual abuse/assault and domestic abuse survivors. She has recently started working with stroke and head injury survivors and their families.

Dedicated to providing compassionate and effective support, Marion is curious about her
clients’ experiences and has an inquiring mind. She is an active learner and enjoys expanding
her expertise to help clients further by gaining many qualifications and certifications through
her CPD work.

We’re Laura and Sophie, two sisters and qualified counsellors with over 20 years of combined experience. Together, we created Rise Therapy Centre with a vision to build a supportive community of therapists, wellness coaches, and like-minded professionals.

We know that being self-employed can sometimes feel isolating, which is why we’ve made Rise not just a therapy space, but a place for connection and collaboration.
