Hello everyone, I’m Nicola Shergold. In 2017, MS changed the course of my life after 30 years as a nurse and midwife. Despite the challenges, I refuse to let it define me. Now, facing the need for a stem cell transplant in Mexico at £50,000, I’m reaching out for support. I’m working on a book filled with personal experiences of living with MS, hoping to sell it to raise funds for my treatment.

I’m looking for someone who would kindly donate a little of their time. Offering advise on how I go about writing the book. I know what I want the book to look like but do not have the knowledge or expertise of writing a book.
Any help you could offer to compile this book, I’d be immensely grateful. Let’s come together to make a difference for those battling MS, whilst also helping me with my fundraising.
If you are living with MS or are a carer looking after someone with MS then I need you too.

I have been thinking of other ways without bombarding the same people as to how to get more funds for my Stem Cell Transplant.

I have hundreds of friends and family on here.

If I was to post out or email you some charity football or name the teddy etc fundraising cards. Would you possibly be able to all take a card and see if you could get it filled out please?

I have tried to remain positive after vomiting my naso jejunostomy tube out again last Friday. Thought it would just an overnight stay. Week later I’m still here with absolutely no idea when I can get home.
Had tube replaced but it’s not playing ball. Can’t get IV access. Looks like another PICC line needed.

You honestly could not make it up!!!
8 plus weeks in hospital and me telling them constantly I can’t quench my thirst!!! They discover by a random blood 🩸 test I’m a diabetic. Blood sugars in the 40’s. No wonder I have been so ill. 2 weeks on and still can’t get my blood sugars down, despite being on an insulin sliding scale iV pump. Having to have my sugars checked every hour 24 hrs a day.

Then to top it off I have been in agony in my knees to the extent I physically cannot stand. Headache from hell.
Coughing and high temperature 🤒
Yep Covid 🙈
I just want to cry 😭 feel so rough. I seem to be going 1 step forward 2 steps back .

Just what the dr ordered (or not lol 😆) However a 10 minute visit with my Millie and Lottie. Not forgetting Oliver has cheered me up.
