October is ADHD Awareness Month. The mission is to educate people about ADHD by publicising reliable information based on the evidence of science and peer-reviewed research.

We are recruiting part time support workers to work with within our new children/young people’s outreach services in Kent. This is currently in the Maidstone area for children aged 8 and over.

You will be required to work alternative Saturdays and during the day 2 or 3 times a week, with hours significantly increasing during the school holidays. Although each staff team will be bespoke for each individual, you may be required to work across other outreach services within the areas.

All mandatory and individualised training will be given to the right candidates who share Complete Life’s Values and Mission. Competitive rate of pay - £9.49 per hour.

You will need to be a driver and have access to a vehicle.

You will need at least 2 years’ experience of supporting children with learning disabilities, autism and those who may present challenging behaviours.

You will need to have and demonstrate a patient nature, excellent communication skills, enthusiasm, be physically fit, have good imagination and creative skills.

We are for a looking a full time Support Worker to support a very active and wonderful individual who has learning disabilities and autism, who lives in his own home in the Ipswich area.

For the right person we will offer a competitive rate of pay, work incentives and a career development path. You will need to be a driver and have access to a vehicle and be willing to work 37.5 hrs a week (working on a shift pattern across 24 hours, including weekends and waking nights). Hours will be on a planned rota basis so you will know your working shifts a month in advance.

Knowledge, skills and experience
Willing to work towards an NVQ in social care and or equivalent
2 years’ experience of working with individuals who have a learning disability and autism
Experience in working with families and external stakeholders
Holds a current Care Certificate/willing to work towards this
Hold a current driving licence and have access to a vehicle, with business insurance
The successful candidate will demonstrate a patient nature, excellent communication skills, enthusiasm, be physically fit, have good imagination and creative skills.

You will need to have experience in using wheelchairs, although full training will be given around this.

We are pleased to announce that we have an exciting opportunity for a service manager.

We are looking for a skilled and experienced service manager, to manage supported living services near Ipswich. You would need to have at least 2 years’ experience in managing supported living services, working with individuals who have severe learning disabilities and autism and their families, managing a team and understanding CQC requirements, quality and assurance.

The successful applicants will have experience in:
Working with individuals with Learning Disabilities and Autism
Working with families who maybe appointees/commissioners
Developing and managing bespoke teams
Understands CQC requirements, risk assessing, quality assurance etc
Working in partnership with Local Authorities and social services/commissioners
NVQ level 4/5 in leadership and social care or equivalent
Person-centred and value based working

The role will require an enhanced DBS, which Complete Life will pay for.

The post is 37.5 hours a week Mon-Fri, working at least 2 days on shift daytime., On-call responsibilities (paid at £175 per 7 day period). 20 days annual leave plus 8 bank holidays.
