🧠 Education Focus: “Know the Signs”
📉 What is a Hypo?
A hypo (hypoglycaemia) is when your blood glucose drops below 4.0 mmol/L — and it can come on fast.
Spot the signs:
• Trembling or shakiness
• Sweating
• Tiredness or difficulty concentrating
• Blurred vision
• Palpitations
🎯 Treat quickly with fast-acting carbs (like 150ml fruit juice or glucose tablets).
💡 Remember: “4 is the floor” — act fast if you’re under 4!

🩺 Let's Talk Hypoglycaemia (Hypos) 👇
Low blood glucose (below 4 mmol/L) can happen quickly and needs fast action.
Common symptoms include:
• Sweating 😓
• Shaking 🤯
• Hunger 🍞
• Confusion or irritability 😠
• Blurred vision 👀
✅ Treat it fast with 15–20g Rapid-acting carbs (e.g. glucose tabs, juice, jelly sweets).
🚨 Never ignore symptoms — untreated hypos can become dangerous.
💬 Speak to your diabetes team if you’re having frequent hypos — review your meds, food, and routines together.
