🐾 Starting the New Year on the right foot - or should we say paw... 🐾

The first of January had us visited by a delightful little ball of fur brought in by our coordinator!

We had lots of kitty cuddles 🐱 ❤️

We're a pet friendly home so if anyone wants to bring in their fluffy, feathery or even scaly animals for a visit, come on in!

🎆 Happy New Year Everyone 🎆

It's been a year full of ups ⬆️ and downs ⬇️ here at The Oaks, but we're proud to say we've made it, and we're going to keep our heads and our standards high!

Here's to 2026, heading into the New Year with all of our spectacular residents and staff, and of course all of the family, friends and community members that have been with us throughout!

We're seeing in the New Year with some to give us a high octane start to January -

🎅 A very merry Christmas to everyone from us here at The Oaks!

❤️ It's been a lovely day, and with a special thank you to FaNs and everyone who came together to make it perfect!

🍗 We were bustling with so many friends and families, and to top it off we had a smashing Christmas Dinner (sadly everyone was too busy enjoying to remember to capture it)

🎵🎄On Saturday we had the pleasure of being visited by the wonderful Myland Singers (Colchester Choir)!

☃️ They came to surprise one of our newer residents, Steve, who was a member of the group until earlier this year.

🌟 Steve surprised everyone by standing front and centre to perform alongside everyone, and even reading a poem he had written!

♥️ In all it was a very heartwarming experience, and everyone loved the performance!

Thank you for an afternoon of festivity! (And we will see you again soon)

🎄A massive thank you to everyone who took part in our Christmas Fair on Saturday!🎄

🎁 We had such an amazing time and together we managed to raise a whopping £283! 🎁

☃️To everyone who came in to help out, thank you so much! We wouldn't have been able to do it without you! ☃️

We have a donation point set up along with some games - if you don't have an entirely Pink ensemble don't worry! Even just a splash of Pink spreads awareness!

This Thursday Tony managed to get his winter wardrobe ready (thank you Primark), followed by a side of Pie, Mash and Liquor - courtesy of Manze's Pie And Mash!
A lovely adventure, and a great way to introduce Tony to the local area for the first time!
