Woodland Heath 🌲 Travel Information Packs are on their way to their new homes.

We update our packs every now and then to ensure residents are receiving up to date travel information when they move in. For Woodland Heath, that means shouting about the improved konectbus City5 service which now has two bus stops directly serving the site, with more frequent buses and new evening services, helping people step away from relying on their cars.

We also took this opportunity to update the local amenities map, as there are a lot more Beryl bays in the local area! 🛴

Other updates include the latest EV stats from Zapmap, revised Greater Anglia train timetables, details of the new Mobilityways app and the potential savings of car sharing, promotion of our Travel Plan Coordinator services, tailored travel incentives and much more.

Brightwell Lakes has achieved 'Good Travel Plan' status this morning, a really positive step towards growing a sustainable community in what is to be a 2,000 home development 🏡

This week (19th - 25th January) is Energy Savers Week, a time to focus on reducing energy consumption and saving money.

In your home, try to focus on efficient heating, reduced water usage and using appliances sensibly. Find useful info and resources at energysavingtrust.org.uk/campaign/energysaversweek 🏠

Outside the home, you could reduce your energy consumption by car sharing, just one other person in the car cuts your carbon emissions and costs by 50% as you'll be sharing the load. A fur-iendly reminder to maintain your dogs routine walkies throughout winter, not only for your companions health and wellbeing, but yours too!

A brisk 30-minute walk 5 days a week (or around 22-mins 7 days a week) ensures you're meeting the minimum NHS recommended exercise goal of 150 minutes a week, and helps fight the winter blues by improving brain function, especially helpful if you spend your days starting at screens!
