Roxanne Angelique Independent Civil Celebrant

Roxanne Angelique Independent Civil Celebrant My name is Roxanne Angelique Cawdron and I am an independent Civil Celebrant based in Essex.

Fully qualified and insured Independent Civil Celebrant specialising in bringing light to your story in life's biggest moments - from touching funeral services through to weddings, renewals, child and family ceremonies. I have been professionally trained and accredited in in two level 3 Diplomas (DipFC and DipCC)
I specialise in writing and delivering unique and personal ceremonies to mark life's biggest moments - so everything from funeral services through to weddings, renewals and baby/child/family ceremonies - and I have conducted hundreds of beautiful and poignant ceremonies over the years. I'm very openly passionate about what I do and pride myself on the relationship I build with my clients - after all, I can't write a reflective and appropriate ceremony for you if I'm not familiar with who you are! My bespoke ceremonies are crafted individually for the people they are intended for - there is no set format, no templates, and no standard expectation, but rather I give ownership of these special occasions back to my clients where they have complete freedom to create a moment in time that is wholly suitable and appropriate for them. It's a beautiful process, and one I'm honoured to partake in every single day.

A funeral professionals wedding… and the most insanely awesome couple - coffin shaped ring box, mini land rovers that brought the flower girls down the aisle, deathly shots of moonshine and so so many laughs.

Last one of the year for me now. Looking forward to next years couples 🙌

I rarely remember to get some snaps of the boy at work… but did today.
Here is the handsome lad after doing ‘his thang’ as bereavement support for today’s mourners 😍

I’m sure many of you can relate - it’s a beautiful sentiment x

True this. Had cars over taking horsey hearse the other day. It’s not on!!!

Sadly this is so heartbreakingly true 💔 Just lately we are having more and more drivers on the roads being impatient and trying to push in on the Funeral Cortège’s in between the Hearse and the Limousines with bereaved family members in, and even on funerals with our horses too.

This is happening to the point where accidents have nearly been caused because someone just wants to cut in or to cut through.

I appreciate we drive slower, but this is someone’s final journey, and this is done out of respect.

Whether this makes you 30 seconds, one minute or two minutes late for where you need to be, think about that person who has passed and the families that are following.

A final journey is so precious 🤍

How lush is this?!
From an amazing couple who I’ve helped in most capacities as a celebrant - the happy and the sad. But the weekend was joyous indeed after 23 years they finally tied the knot.
So humbled ###

How beautiful 🥰
👇🏻
Jim Carrey once said: Grief is not just an emotion—it’s an unraveling, a space where something once lived but is now gone. It carves through you, leaving a hollow ache where love once resided.

In the beginning, it feels unbearable, like a wound that will never close. But over time, the raw edges begin to mend. The pain softens, but the imprint remains—a quiet reminder of what once was. The truth is, you never truly "move on." You move with it. The love you had does not disappear; it transforms. It lingers in the echoes of laughter, in the warmth of old memories, in the silent moments where you still reach for what is no longer there. And that’s okay.

Grief is not a burden to be hidden. It is not a weakness to be ashamed of. It is the deepest proof that love existed, that something beautiful once touched your life. So let yourself feel it. Let yourself mourn. Let yourself remember.

There is no timeline, no “right” way to grieve. Some days will be heavy, and some will feel lighter. Some moments will bring unexpected waves of sadness, while others will fill you with gratitude for the love you were lucky enough to experience.

Honor your grief, for it is sacred. It is a testament to the depth of your heart. And in time, through the pain, you will find healing—not because you have forgotten, but because you have learned how to carry both love and loss together.

Epic sand blending to celebrate an adorable baby boy who celebrated his naming ceremony over the weekend.

This one incorporated coloured sands to represent baby, Mum, and his lucky 7 Godparents.
