ose for themselves, in a safe, caring, warm and homely environment. We want our residents to know that this is their home where family and friends can visit any time day or night. Our residents decide for themselves what they would like to do and when. However, if help and support is needed, we are on hand to provide whatever is needed. The home has 4 lounges and 3 dining rooms, most of which have attractive views of the garden area and surrounding countryside. There are 4 bathrooms and 3 shower rooms which are specially equipped for people with assisted bathing needs. The grounds on which Chalkney House is situated in a quiet and rural countryside setting. Although in a rural setting, Chalkney House is also on a main bus route between the towns of Halstead and Colchester, making travel to either both easy and convenient. We strive to ensure that all residents needs are met fully and to the highest of standards. We have numerous services and professionals that visit on a regular basis. These include:
Hairdresser, opticians, dentists, chiropodists, district nurses, doctors, entertainment, physiotherapists, dieticians and more. The home employs full time activities coordinators who are present throughout the week ensuring that residents are kept active and entertained.
