Yes I've turned the words off.

I like to think that regardless of the words spoken, you can sense my approach to my work - friendly calm and so you always FEEL at home, un-rushed and relaxed in my therapy room.

I always take time to listen to what's going on for you, as sometimes its not just the muscle itself that is causing the problem.

LISTENING is a great skill for a massage therapist.

As is OBSERVATION and the not-said, the mannerisms and energy of a person.

If this resonates, do get in touch or take a look at my website link in bio

Dont forget, as a new clients you can do get 15% off your first treatment using the code NEWBIE15.

Pregnancy massages should always feel safe and supported... i remember 21 years ago (🙀 I know its hard to believe🤣), I had one and felt so ill and fainty mid massage - my therapist obviously didn't have much understanding of typical pregnancy symptoms and safe protocol. Like you, I expected them to know...

You'll be pleased to know i take massage seriously!

Lying on your side will
✨️fully support your belly, protecting uterine ligaments and maintaining healthy circulation for both parent and baby.
✨️ease pressure on the low back and pelvis, creating more comfort rather than more strain.
✨️allow me to work effectively on the areas that often hold the most tension during pregnancy—hips, glutes, back, and shoulders.
✨️support your postnatal body too - off tender breaststroke etc

As your body changes, the support should change too - you might want a huggy cushion, extra softness under the hips...

Side-lying meets you where you are, at every stage 🤍...

No experience needed, come as you are!

If you have never tried a Sound Bath before, here's why you might like one:

✨️ Deep relaxation without having to “do” anything - just lie down and listen
✨️ A calm nervous system reset - feel softer, slower and more grounded
✨️ Ease stress and mental chatter - sound gives your mind something gentle to focus on
✨️Supports better rest and sleep - Great when youre wired, tired, or overstimulated
✨️ A safe way to unwind if meditation feels hard
✨️A moment of stillness in a busy week
✨️ Time to pause, breathe, and be cared for.

Everyone’s experience is different — and all are welcome.

Our next Sound Bath is on Friday 13th February. To book and find all our upcoming dates theres a link in our bio.

Hope to see you soon 🎶

Chronic tension often comes from a nervous system stuck in 'alert'. Touch and stillness can help the body feel safe again.

Being in nature helps loads too - do you have spaces you go to for calm?

Our Story

Yogababe was set up some 10 years ago as an antidote to my busy working life and stresses of bringing up young children. Yoga continues to help me (and my kids) stay grounded and can be weaved into our rigourous day-to-day lives! I love teaching Yoga as it can be adapted to suit anyone at any stage of life, bring harmony to the body, mind and soul no matter who you are, lifestyle or bodyshape. I aint no instagram yogi - you can’t take pictures of what Yoga feels like within. There is an old quote - someone tell me who said it - ‘if you can breathe, you can do Yoga’. I thoroughly agree.

I taught my first adult classes in January 2008 and became qualified as a British Wheel of Yogi in 2009. I have been teaching regularly since then at gyms, privately, with local and national charities, in the workplace and in schools. Since 2009 I specialized in Yoga for Women’s Health - Pregnancy Yoga, Postnatal Yoga, Yoga to help Fertility and for Womb Health, Hypno-Yoga for birth. I have studied with Uma Dinsmore Tuli, Birthlight, Wendy Teasdill, Janine Hurley, Calm for Kids’, Cherie Lathey and most recently Clare Spink (Fertility Massage).

I passionately offer nurturing one-to-ones and small group classes in all the above and for the promotion of mental health and women’s womb health and fertility. I am fully DBS certified and have undergone Safeguarding training so can also teach in schools and to vulnerable groups. Over the years I have collaborated with various charities/NGOs - including MS Society, MIND, Barnardos, CoastNet - worked in schools with children and teachers, and in workplace settings - Colchester Borough Housing, North East Essex Clinical Commissioning Group - as part of their Wellbeing initiatives.

It is great to practice Yoga to manage stress levels and relax, empower, nurture, strengthen and revitalise you increasing your general mental and physical wellbeing . All my classes combine breathing techniques, posture work and meditations/relaxation (Pranayama, Asana and Yoga Nidra), which are all especially modified from classical yoga practices to suit the person’s needs. Everything is adapted, taking in to consideration your particular stage of life/pregnancy/post natal body and mind and your particular needs (whether you have back pain, pelvic pains or are particularly fatigued or suffer mild depression etc).
