✨ Pelvic girdle pain? Sore hips, p***c bone, bum muscles? Here’s a tip tip that can really help! ✨
If you’re struggling with pain around your pelvis or hips:
👇
Keep your knees together when you move.
Or, imagine you’re wearing a very short skirt and you don’t want to let your legs drift apart 😉😱
This little tip can make a big difference when:
🛏️ Turning over in bed
🚗 Getting in or out of the car
🧎 Getting up off the floor
💺 Standing up from a chair
Keeping your knees together helps protect your pelvic joints and reduce pain. Small change, big relief 💛

✨ I'm off for my second practical week of advanced clinical training at Jine Brighton next week ! ✨
Feeling a mix of nerves and excitement — it’s always a bit of both, isn’t it? I’m really loving getting more specific in helping people with their muscular issues, but also keeping the calm, nurturing energy in my beautiful therapy room. 💆♀️🌿
There’s something special about combining precise, focused work with a sense of rest and care. Learning and growing. 💛
Whilst im away, (also Jing trained) has upped his hours and will be offering his brilliant Deep Tissue or Relaxing massaged.

💆♀️ Neck & Shoulder Tension — are you Feeling It!?
Maybe two-thirds of the people who come to see me for a massage complain about their neck and shoulders.
Is it surprising? long hours at a desk, hunched over a laptop or phone, pushing hard in the gym all put a lot of strain on the body. Add to that the demands of parenting or studying, carrying kids, bags, or books — and tension just builds up.
The human body isnt designed to sit for long stagnant periods, so it will complain. It usually shows up at the base of the skull, through the neck, and into the shoulders. The front of the chest tightens, and the muscles at the back of the shoulders get overstretched and achy.
Massage can make a huge difference — ease out postural tightness, help with headaches, and release stress and tension in the head, neck, and shoulders.
If this sounds familiar, come and book a session — I get really good results helping people feel lighter, looser, and more balanced in their bodies. 🌿

Pregnancy Yoga is all about slowing down, tuning in to your breath and how you are feeling in your body - which can be quite a challenge when the world we inhabit is so fast and pressurised to achieve.
Pregnancy Yoga can help to take the pressure off, as we aren't trying to achieve anything but simply being, enjoy the moments, in whatever form that takes.
Our next block starts soon, why not come and join us 👇
🌼Monday evenings from 10th November
From 7.15-8.45pm

Yogababe was set up some 10 years ago as an antidote to my busy working life and stresses of bringing up young children. Yoga continues to help me (and my kids) stay grounded and can be weaved into our rigourous day-to-day lives! I love teaching Yoga as it can be adapted to suit anyone at any stage of life, bring harmony to the body, mind and soul no matter who you are, lifestyle or bodyshape. I aint no instagram yogi - you can’t take pictures of what Yoga feels like within. There is an old quote - someone tell me who said it - ‘if you can breathe, you can do Yoga’. I thoroughly agree.
I taught my first adult classes in January 2008 and became qualified as a British Wheel of Yogi in 2009. I have been teaching regularly since then at gyms, privately, with local and national charities, in the workplace and in schools. Since 2009 I specialized in Yoga for Women’s Health - Pregnancy Yoga, Postnatal Yoga, Yoga to help Fertility and for Womb Health, Hypno-Yoga for birth. I have studied with Uma Dinsmore Tuli, Birthlight, Wendy Teasdill, Janine Hurley, Calm for Kids’, Cherie Lathey and most recently Clare Spink (Fertility Massage).
I passionately offer nurturing one-to-ones and small group classes in all the above and for the promotion of mental health and women’s womb health and fertility. I am fully DBS certified and have undergone Safeguarding training so can also teach in schools and to vulnerable groups. Over the years I have collaborated with various charities/NGOs - including MS Society, MIND, Barnardos, CoastNet - worked in schools with children and teachers, and in workplace settings - Colchester Borough Housing, North East Essex Clinical Commissioning Group - as part of their Wellbeing initiatives.
It is great to practice Yoga to manage stress levels and relax, empower, nurture, strengthen and revitalise you increasing your general mental and physical wellbeing . All my classes combine breathing techniques, posture work and meditations/relaxation (Pranayama, Asana and Yoga Nidra), which are all especially modified from classical yoga practices to suit the person’s needs. Everything is adapted, taking in to consideration your particular stage of life/pregnancy/post natal body and mind and your particular needs (whether you have back pain, pelvic pains or are particularly fatigued or suffer mild depression etc).
Why not come along to a class and see how Yoga can fit in to your life too?
