It has been sympathetically converted to provide residential and dementia care in a stunning environment with spacious and elegant bedrooms.

Happy International Friendship Day from all of us at Colne House 🫶🏽

Today we have spoken about friendship and how important friends are - they are the family we choose 🤗
We have drawn each other and made paper chains, we have made friendship bracelets and gifted each other beautiful necklaces, very kindly donated by Emily George 💜

The Kingsley mini bus took us to Halstead Empire Theatre to sing with the Halstead Dementia Friendly Choir yesterday 🚐

We made the most of having the minibus and took as many residents as possible 🫶🏽 Siblings, Harry & June; besties Jean, June & Maggie and Betty & Lorna; our handsome gentlemen Peter and Christopher and the lovely Lorna - smiles all round 🎵🤗

Two lovely ladies came to Colne House donating these lovely flowers from the wedding day. We were ever so greatful & Betty enjoyed doing some flower arranging 🌺 🌷 🌿

Beautiful walks today 🌳🪾Lorna and Betty loved admiring all the trees and finding out what some of them are 🧐 and Christopher enjoyed a nice chat about sports, telling Emma that he used to play rugby 🏉

Here are Maggie with Jackie showing off their complete jigsaw and Geoff with Sophie during their 3rd (!) jigsaw!

Jackie is one of our lovely volunteers who often spends the afternoon chatting to our residents and making them smile 🫶🏽

Jigsaw puzzles can improve memory and thought processes, and bring a sense of accomplishment 🧩💜
