What a lovely Friday Lunch Club we had today in our brasserie.
Our Sue was a great help setting the tables and making everything just right for us 💙

We were then joined by residents from each unit, along with team members and a few relatives, to enjoy a delicious fish and chip lunch together.

It was so nice to see everyone chatting, laughing, and sharing a meal with different faces — these moments of togetherness really do mean so much 🐟🍟💬

What a brilliant afternoon we had! 🌟

Wendy came in to entertain us and brought so much fun and laughter with her. There was singing, puppets, and plenty of smiles all round — with her husband Frank even joining in to sing a few numbers too 🎶

Wendy really got everyone involved, and it was truly lovely to see residents joining in, laughing and enjoying every moment. A wonderful afternoon enjoyed by all 💛

Yesterday a few of us wrapped up nice and warm and popped outside to enjoy the snow before it disappeared ❄️

Mike was especially excited and keen to throw some snowballs — which he absolutely loved! He even managed to hit Nikki with one and was very pleased with himself afterwards 😄

Lots of laughter, fresh air and lovely moments shared — sometimes it’s the simple things that bring the biggest smiles 🤍

🎉 Happy Birthday Malcom! 🎉

Today we celebrated Malcom’s special day in style with a lovely birthday lunch and a glass of bubbly 🥂

It was so important to make the day feel personal and meaningful, and Malcom truly was the VIP of the day. He told us he felt very special and had a wonderful time, which made it all the more rewarding for everyone involved 💙

Creating moments like these — full of joy, connection and celebration — is what makes our days at Alderwood so special.

✨ 2026 started with some gentle exercise! Residents enjoyed dancing along to Elvis, doing the Twist, and even a rousing rendition of New York, New York. Such a fun and uplifting session — with huge thanks to our lovely singer Carly for providing the lively tunes and great atmosphere 🎶💃🕺✨

Wishing everyone a very Happy New Year from all of us here at Alderwood! 🥳🎉

We had a wonderfully busy morning getting everyone glammed up and party-ready, with lots of smiles, laughter and excitement in the air. The celebrations were truly fabulous – Joanna had us all singing, clapping and dancing along, filling the home with joy, music and togetherness.

Such a lovely way to welcome the New Year, creating happy memories and starting 2026 with positivity, fun and plenty of sparkle 💖✨

Yesterday we hosted a wonderful children’s party, welcoming residents’ grandchildren and great-grandchildren into the home 🎄✨
The children met Santa, enjoyed lots of fun games, and our indoor snow went down an absolute treat ❄️🎅

Seeing the joy, hearing the squeals of excitement and the giggles filling the rooms was truly lovely and so special for everyone involved ❤️

A huge thank you to little Coco from our local nursery, who visits us on Fridays, for bringing along the most adorable homemade gifts and cards for our residents. Such a kind and thoughtful gesture that meant so much 🥰🎁
