Care UK Support Centre colleagues are taking part in a Christmas card recycling scheme, in partnership with the Cobalt Medical Charity.

The initiative has been driven by Sue Fairs, one of Care UK’s Sustainability Champions. The cards will be sent to Cobalt Medical Charity, where they will be upcycled and resold to fund medical research, supporting their work in providing advanced diagnostic imaging, cancer prevention, and education services.

Across the UK, teams and residents in our care homes have been reviving traditions from decades gone by as part of Care UK's campaign.

A local nursery visited Chocolate Works Care Village in York for a morning of festive crafts. The Brightlingsea Beaver Scouts visited Silversprings Care Home Colchester to perform a joyful carol service, while at Brook Court Care Home in Kidderminster, local primary school children joined residents in a craft session making vintage styled Christmas decorations.

We support older people to live happier, healthier and more fulfilling lives in a range of beautiful, well-maintained care homes. We have been providing award-winning care for 30 years. We know that independence is not about where you live, but how you live and our 119 care homes are enabling more than 7,000 people to continue living active and fulfilling lives in supportive, safe and comfortable surroundings.
