Lymphatic drainage is boosted by physical exercise, fluid flows more freely when the muscle pump action is activated. Simple activities such as walking up and down stairs, riding a bike, running, swimming, dancing and zoomba get you breathing deeply and muscles pumping, which moves your lymph from your arms and legs, into lymphatic nodes in your trunk and back to your subclavian to drain away. Even mellow activities like Yoga, Pilates and Tai Chi can gently activate your muscles and stimulate lymphatic flow.
