At 29+6 weeks, little one is perfectly cosy, eyes closed, cheeks full, and already practising those peaceful sleepy vibes 💤

This beautiful stage often gives us the sweetest, most serene 4D moments. Not quite too snug, not too early… just pure magic captured in real time.

Watching your baby rest so peacefully before they arrive? There’s nothing quite like it.

This is why timing your 4D scan matters…

Because when everything aligns:
✨ position
✨ fluid levels
✨ gestation
the results are simply unforgettable.

This beautiful baby was scanned at 33 weeks, and the detail speaks for itself.

We’re often asked: When is the best time for a 4D scan?

The honest answer? 30–35 weeks can give incredible clarity… but it does come with a little risk.

As baby grows bigger and space gets tighter, the chances of baby being in the perfect position do reduce. The later the gestation, the more we rely on baby being cooperative on the day.

👉 For the best balance of:
• lovely facial detail
• good room to move
• and time for a rescan if needed

We usually recommend around 28 weeks.

However… if you’re feeling brave and want the chance of those ultra-defined, chubby-cheek images, waiting until 30–35 weeks can be absolutely magical when it works.

No one talks about how tough the first trimester is, it can be a period of heavy anxiety.

After a positive test, there’s often a quiet period that no one really prepares you for.
So much waiting.
So many thoughts.
And very little reassurance.

It’s completely normal to wonder what’s happening inside, to feel comforted one moment and anxious the next. These early weeks can feel lonely, especially when appointments still feel far away.

If you’re feeling this way, you’re not “too anxious” you’re human.
