Carina’s bio: Carina is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Psychology at the University of Essex. At the Essex Babylab, her research focuses on how babies develop body awareness, learn to copy others’ actions, and the role that multisensory experiences play in shaping these abilities🧠👣
Liz’s bio: Liz is a yoga teacher with a passion for supporting parents in early parenthood through movement, mindfulness, and connection. Following the birth of her son in 2020, she trained in pre- and postnatal yoga and now runs Yoga With Baby—a nurturing class designed to help new parents bond with their babies while rebuilding strength and confidence after birth. Liz brings a baby-led, body-aware approach to her teaching, grounded in the belief that yoga can help us become more attuned to ourselves and those we care for. Her classes blend gentle movement, mindfulness, and a supportive community—because both babies and parents thrive when we learn to listen to our bodies.
