We were delighted to join our friends at Rodley House for a truly magical festive afternoon ✨🦌

When our residents shared their December wishlists, a few mentioned seeing the reindeer in Lapland. While the trip itself wasn’t possible, we were thrilled to bring the reindeer to us instead!

Everyone enjoyed a wonderful afternoon filled with festive cheer, including reindeer visits, hot chocolate, mulled wine and mince pies - a real seasonal treat 🎄☕️ We were also joined by children from the local primary school and nursery, who visited Santa’s grotto to enjoy chocolate and candy canes. ❤️

The atmosphere was truly festive and the experience brought so much joy to residents, visitors and staff alike. It’s one that’s still being talked about every day — a wishlist moment we’ll remember for a long time to come 😊

What a wonderful morning at our Christmas Fair. We had the best time celebrating the festive season with beautiful Christmas craft stalls created by our talented residents and staff, a fantastic raffle, craft decorating, plenty of mince pies and turkey rolls, and of course a visit from our very own Santa in his grotto. The morning was made even more special with a touching performance from the Berryhill Band.

A massive thank you to all the local shops for their generous donations, such an amazing community spirit. It was lovely welcoming families and friends to join in the festivities. Thank you to everyone who came and made the day magical. 🎄

National Picnic Month at The Coombs!
We made the most of the sunshine with a relaxing riverside picnic on the Lydbrook riverbank. Surrounded by peaceful wildlife, stunning views, and canoeists drifting by - it was the perfect way to soak up the summer!

It did start to get a little grey later in the day, but that didn’t stop anyone from enjoying the magnificent view and great company 🌿☁️

Not your typical kebab, but a perfect healthy twist! These refreshing and hydrating fruit kebabs were the perfect treat to keep us cool in the warm weather. A fun activity that brought smiles all around! 😄

We want to extend a massive thank you to everyone who joined us for our Quiz Night in support of The Coombs Nursing Home! Your generosity and team spirit helped us raise an amazing £370! 🙌

A special thanks to Berry Hill Social Club for generously letting us use their room, and to everyone who donated to our raffle - your support means so much to us! 🎟️

Residents and staff had a fantastic time on our annual trip to Barry Island, sharing laughter, making new memories and reminiscing about the good old days. The sun was shining, Mr Whippy was flowing and some even enjoyed a refreshing paddle in the sea 🌊🍦

Nestled in the town of Coleford lies The Coombs offering residential, nursing and respite care to 36 residents. Originally built in 1856 as a private residence, the home was renovated 100 years later and transformed into a care home.

Whether you wish to relax in the large lounge in the main house, or in one of the smaller lodge sitting rooms, there is a varied selection of activities and social events from which to choose. The Coombs is surrounded by large, well maintained and pleasant gardens for residents to relax or socialise with friends and family.

Our friendly, professionally trained team are on hand around the clock to support our residents, ensuring they spend their day how they wish and enabling them to enjoy a fulfilling and independent lifestyle.
