🌿 Great Oaks Volunteers and Staff Shine at the Forest Review Community Awards 🌿Tonight was a truly special evening at the Forest Review Community Awards, where the dedication, compassion, and spirit of service in our community were celebrated in full.We are incredibly proud of all the Great Oaks Hospice volunteers and staff who attended, representing the heart of what we do every single day.And in a moment that touched every heart in the room, we were thrilled and deeply honoured to see Great Oaks Hospice named the winner of the Community Hero’s Award. 💛This award is a tribute to the tireless care, the comforting presence, and the gentle strength our team brings to families when they need it most. Every volunteer, nurse, carer, and supporter is part of this beautiful achievement.To our Great Oaks family—thank you. You are all true community heroes.

Great Oaks Hospice Summer Fayre with The Teddy Bear Ladies is taking place on Sunday 3rd August. We are looking for enthusiastic bakers, to bake a cake for both our cake stall, and to serve with the refreshments, too.

🎅✨ Can You Help Santa's Grotto Sparkle?

We’re getting ready to transform Santa’s Grotto at Coinros Nursery, Lydney — all in aid of Great Oaks Hospice — and we need some Christmas magic from YOU! 🎄❤️

To help us make it truly special for the children, we’re on the lookout for:
🎄 Christmas trees (real or fake)
💡 White fairy lights
🎁 Sweets and small toys
🎭 Red or green velvet curtains
🛠️ 6–10 sheets of MDF
✨ And anything else to help us make the grotto magical!

Today, we met Dave from DBC Leisure, who recently organised a Memorial Clay Pigeon Shoot, in memory of Andrew Yarworth, raising £450 for our hospice.
