Christmas Shop Window Displays
Lydney Town Council would like to say a huge thank you to all of our local businesses who took the time to decorate their shop windows so beautifully this Christmas.
This year’s theme was “A Christmas Card to Lydney”. The judges had the very difficult task of viewing all the entries and were genuinely unable to choose a favorite every display was thoughtful and creative.
Historically, this has always been a competition to select one winning window. However, given the circumstances our town has faced over the past year, what stood out most was not competition, but collaboration. We have seen businesses supporting one another, helping each other and working together and that is something truly worth celebrating.
Because of this, we have decided that there will be no outright winner this year. Instead, we are delighted to announce that all of the following businesses are winners, each receiving an equal prize of £50:

Forest Apparel
The Flower Pot
Great Oaks
David Kear
Poppies
We thought all the windows were fantastic and particularly loved where businesses were especially creative, including handmade decorations and painted designs.
As the Carols at the Bandstand event was unfortunately cancelled, we are announcing the results here on our social media instead so everyone can still be recognised and celebrated.
