Free NHS Lung Cancer Screening is being offered to people registered at our surgeries. If you are aged 55 to 74 years old and are a smoker or have smoked in the past, you are eligible for this new service.

You do not need to do anything right now. The Lung Cancer Screening team will be contacting eligible people over the next few months. If you are eligible, you will receive an invitation to a telephone appointment. At that appointment, you will be asked some questions about your general health, your family history, and your lung health. Some people will be invited to a face-to-face appointment after the initial telephone appointment.

If you want to know more about the Lung Cancer Screening Programme, go to https://swaglunghealthcheck.nhs.uk

You may also like to check that your GP has a correct record for whether you have ever smoked.
