🏊Swimmer's Ear is a painful infection of the ear canal caused by moisture becoming trapped.
🏊‍♀️This alters the pH of the ear canal and under these conditions bacteria can thrive, resulting in swelling and inflammation which causes pain which can be very severe.
🏊It can be Acute or Chronic, and affects millions of children and adults every year.

Today, we are remembering a wonderful review from 2 years ago when a family who travelled quite a distance to have their 4 year old son treated. The follow up on this story is that we have continued to treat this child over the last two years, to maintain his ear health. Next week, we will be looking at frequency of ear care and why you should build regularity of ear care into your health care schedule

Love Cotton Buds? Did you know that Cotton Bud use is the leading cause of wax impactation in our patients ears?
Using Cotton Buds in your ears can lead to the following issues:
👂Deep Wax Impactation - While the Cotton Bud may pick up some surface level wax, it will eventually push wax much deeper into the Ear Canal blocking your ear and causing pain, discomfort and decreased hearing.
