Norman Irwin has been awarded a medal … BEM … British Empire Medal. He is our oldest patient and has been awarded this medal for a range of voluntary work in Coleraine including a cross community club for retirees. He is a Second World War veteran. It has been our privilege that he trusts us to help him to see the changes during his 106 years. Congratulations to an admirable man.

Reflexions … such an impactful word … through thoughts or vision. Our Zeiss lenses have perfected reducing reflections to the absolute minimum and that’s why they are used in space, operating theatres, cameras and lastly, but very importantly, our glasses. We all know eye contact is a beautiful thing and when there are no distracting reflections we can see into someone’s eyes behind their glasses and have an even better connection.

Prada … as a brand their attention to detail is phenomenal. They use cotton in the manufacture of their materials ( not nylon as used in budget glasses ). So they actually become more comfortable with wear. So you’ll look better,see better and feel better. ✔️✔️✔️

The North West 200, often abbreviated as the NW200, is a famous annual motorcycle road racing event held in Northern Ireland. It is considered one of the most prestigious and challenging motorcycle races in the world. The race takes place on public roads around the coast of County Antrim, primarily along the A2 route between the towns of Portrush, Portstewart, and Coleraine. The NW200 is renowned for its thrilling atmosphere, scenic backdrop, and the skill required to navigate its fast, twisty roads safely at high speeds. Over the years we have helped riders to achieve their best vision - sometimes with contact lenses - sometimes with sport frames such as Oakley but one thing is for sure - their nerves are made of steel.

We live on the golf coast of Northern Ireland and our little country was so honoured last night when Rory McIlroy won the Masters. He is our hero and with the Open coming to Portrush this July it is going to be a wonderful spectacle. Needless to say golf requires good eyesight and we have helped many many people to up their game. Sometimes with contact lenses, sometimes specific contrast tints on their glasses. 👓

Energy affects every part of you. Tired eyes can be a symptom of spending too much time indoors under artificial light. Only a couple of generations ago there was no electric light and certainly no blue light from screens. Spending time outside at sunrise exposes you to invisible infrared light which energises every cell. The fresh air improves your body’s metabolism. Your health is your wealth.

Colour … as we age we fade. It’s sad but true. But with Prue’s beautiful frames we can use this to our advantage. By midlife we have more confidence and are more individual.
