Anthony Charley Dip W.C.F, Registered, Remedial Shoeing

I started my apprenticeship in 1997 in North Wales with Ian Hughes working alongside him at the Liverpool University of Equine and Ashbrook Equine Hospital. During this time I built up a good knowledge of remedial and corrective shoeing. On qualification in June 2001 I returned to the Isle of Man from which I originate. Working there for two

years I built up a good clientele and developed a lot of the skills I had gained during my apprenticeship. I am now permanently based in England around the Midlands area. I cover roughly a 20 mile radius of my home in Balsall Common, Coventry as there are many more veterinary practices to work alongside and a larger range of sports horses.

📣 Big Life Update! 🐴✈️🌍

After many incredible years working as a full-time farrier, I’ve officially hung up the apron (and hoof stand!) to begin a new chapter. It’s been an absolute honour to serve such amazing clients—horses and humans alike—but it’s time for something a bit different…

We’re hitting the road! 🚐✨ My family, our dog, and I are setting off to travel the world in a converted horse box, turning it into our little roaming home. From muddy paddocks to mountain passes, we’re trading hoof trimmings for horizons—and we’d love to bring you along for the ride.

👉 We’ll be sharing the highs, the lows, and everything in between on our YouTube channel: Globe-Trotting -Tribe
Please give us a follow, a like, and feel free to share—we’d love your support on this wild journey!

Thank you all for the trust, laughs, coffees, and muddy boots over the years. I’ll miss the work, but I’m excited for what’s next.

Catch you on the road!

Lots of firsts for this little foal called spunky
First time having a head collar on.
First time picking its feet up.
First trim.
Once he knew we weren’t going to hurt him he relaxed and was very good. A bit of patience and understanding goes a long way.
