Wimbledon NeuroCare will be the first in Europe to have the Auto-Traverse Rotary Chair by the beginning of next year.

Rotary chair testing is the gold standard for confirmation of suspected bilateral vestibular hypofunction but can also aid in the diagnosis of unilateral peripheral vestibular loss due to its high sensitivity.

It has the advantage of evaluating the vestibular system over a wide range of frequencies that provides clinicians with a more comprehensive insight into the vestibular system.

Wimbledon NeuroCare can see child patients for EEG diagnostic testing.

For children under four years old our location at 55 Wimpole Street in Central London is available.

For children above four years old our location at Parkside Hospital is available.

An EEG is an outpatient diagnostic test that involves sticking electrodes on your child's head and will take between 60-90 minutes.

Wimbledon NeuroCare have expert neurophysiologists that can perform neurodiagnostic tests like EMG/NCS.

The term EMG is often used for both Electromyogram (EMG) and Nerve Conduction Studies (NCS).

An EMG measures the electrical activity of muscle fibres at rest and during various degrees of muscle contraction.

An NCS measures how well the signals travel across the nerves, nerve roots or at the junction of nerve and muscle.

Wimbledon NeuroCare have expert clinical staff to get patients ready for ambulatory EEGs.

The electrodes will be attached to a small portable EEG recorder that can be clipped onto your clothing.

It doesn't interfere with most of your normal daily activities while the recording is being taken, although you'll need to avoid getting the equipment wet.

During an EEG test, electrical signals are recorded by a machine and are then looked at by a neurophysiology specialist to see if they're unusual.

An EEG can be used to help diagnose and monitor a number of conditions affecting the brain.

It may help identify the cause of certain symptoms – such as epileptic seizures or memory problems – or find out more about a condition you've already been diagnosed with.
