🦶 NEW TREATMENT – VERRUCA NEEDLING NOW AVAILABLE

I’m excited to finally share some big news… from the 16th of March I will be able to offer verruca needling here at The Foot Lab!

This is a specialist treatment that is not widely available, as only a small number of podiatrists are trained to carry it out. Anyone who knows me knows I’m a bit of an evidence-based science nerd, so I wanted to be absolutely sure this was a treatment backed by strong research before introducing it to the clinic.

Verruca needling was the focus of my dissertation, which means I’ve spent a long time reviewing the clinical trials, research papers, and evidence behind this technique. It’s a treatment I’ve wanted to train in for a long time, but courses are extremely rare and places are very limited.

I’m delighted to say that my manifestation worked, and I’ve now secured a place on one of the only verruca needling courses available in the country – allowing me to bring this advanced treatment to my patients.

What is a verruca Needling?

Unlike creams and surface treatments that only work on the outer skin, verruca needling works by stimulating your own immune system to recognise and fight the virus responsible for the verruca. This addresses the root cause rather than just removing the surface tissue.

✨ Why verruca needling is considered one of the best treatment options:
✔️ Not commonly offered by many podiatrists
✔️ Backed by clinical research and medical evidence
✔️ High success rates compared to traditional treatments
✔️ Often effective when acids and over-the-counter products have failed
✔️ In many cases, only one treatment is required

This procedure will be carried out following a full clinical assessment and is suitable for adults and older children with long-standing or painful verrucae.

Hi everyone! Just a quick update to let you know that I will no longer be taking appointment bookings through Messenger.

The automated message will be updated this week with a link to the website (which can also be found in the page bio).

As much as I love chatting with you all, managing appointments through messages has become increasingly difficult and time-consuming, as bookings currently come through multiple channels, including WhatsApp, text message, phone calls, Instagram, and both personal and business Facebook Messenger.

I do have some admin support, but this is remote and limited to only a few hours each day, so bookings made via Messenger can easily be missed or delayed. I want to ensure that all appointments are handled quickly, accurately, and as smoothly as possible.

I am absolutely blown away by how quickly my little clinic has grown—much faster than I ever expected! While this is amazing, it also means I need to streamline how appointments are managed, especially as I am treating patients back-to-back throughout the day and value spending my evenings with my family once clinic hours are finished.

I understand that some podiatry concerns need to be discussed before booking. If this is the case, please call 07377 735026 and leave a short message, and I will return your call as soon as possible.

In an ideal world, a lovely receptionist would be wonderful, but at the moment this isn’t feasible due to costs and limited space (and I’m sure my patients wouldn’t want someone squeezed into the waiting area or sitting in during treatment!). Rome wasn’t built in a day, and I’m doing my best to manage everything safely and professionally.

The booking system is easy to use — I’ve tested it with patients aged 11 to 90! However, if you are struggling or would prefer to use the phone, please do call the number above and leave a message with some dates and times you are available so I can book you in as smoothly as possible.
