What a great way to round off the summer holidays! Our music therapy sessions today welcomed old and new friends. We sang, played instruments, and shared our feelings, preparing for the new school year.
We also had a flying visit from my music therapist colleague and old friend Donna Morgan ❤️
To top off my day, I received a lovely message from a parent who attended today for the first time.
Remember, as music therapists, we work with a range of conditions through musical interaction, and you would be amazed at how powerful it can be.

By popular demand, an extra music therapy session was added at 1 p.m. on August 29 for the older age group (15-18 y.o.). Still a couple of places available at 12 p.m. These sessions can help improve emotional, social, and communication skills, reduce anxiety and stress, boost self-confidence, and develop healthy coping mechanisms. As a parent, you can also participate during the session to learn how music can be incorporated into everyday life to continue supporting your child's progress.
£20 per person.

A vital, new Ipsos in the UK study surveyed over 2000 people to find out their thoughts about music therapy.

The results show that while lots of people have a positive perception of music therapy, the majority are not sure exactly what it is, how it can help, and where you can access it. In fact, only 49% of people agree that music therapy is "proper therapy".

The research was carried out as part of an NHS England commissioned project involving British Association for Music Therapy (BAMT), the British Association of Art Therapists, and the British Association of Dramatherapists.

Today was the last music therapy day in Ysgol Gogarth this year. I didn’t expect the flowers, chocolate and a card from the students and staff. Thank you from the bottom of my heart 😍❤️ See you all next year! (or even during the summer break 🤞, who knows?😉)

Greetings to all!

Firstly, thank you all for attending our music therapy sessions in the last 12 months. I hope you all enjoyed it! Secondly, I would like to say a very special thank you to Nerys Haf Davies for having a vision and applying for the ASD grant that enables us to deliver sessions on a regular basis. We hope to secure more sessions in the future and would like to emphasise the importance of your feedback. Your responses shared through the evaluation form, are a tremendously valuable source of validation and will help us shape the future of these sessions.

It's been a long but rewarding day at Music Therapy North Wales. Thank you, for supporting our page and participants, for attending our sessions. There is only one session remaining on the 8th of June.

🌟 We are open to new opportunities to promote music therapy in the community, so please share details or message us directly to book your sessions (whether individual or group sessions).
