We are Barry and Lyndsay Craven, a husband and wife team who are passionate about sports fitness and helping others. Over many years we have developed Craven Complete Physio and Rehab to provide our clients with a full range of services all under one roof!
Our aim is to provide a complete assessment and diagnosis before the start of any physio treatment. This plan will aim to take an individual from the point of injury back to full activity. Our assessments can be provided in the clinic or within your home, with treatment in situ or extending into our gym, pool and the greater outdoors.
All physiotherapy is provided by an experienced clinician, who has worked in a variety of medical sectors. Should your medical requirements need additional intervention, you will be referred on as a matter of course.
We also run Craven Complete Fitness & Coaching that provides a comprehensive package for fitness and performance development.
If you’d like to find out more about us, read below for details of our background, qualifications and experience or if you’d like to speak to us about our services please get in touch, we are always happy to talk rehab and physio!
Barry & Lyndsay
Background, Qualifications & Experience
Barry is a fully qualified physiotherapist, with extensive experience in the Medical and Sports physiotherapy field. Time served in the NHS as well as in occupational health has seen him gain experience in all areas of physiotherapy from neurology to respiratory as well as neuro-musculo-skeletal (soft tissue and joint). He is a practice educator for Keele University, providing clinical education to their undergraduates.
In addition to the physiotherapy, Barry has a great deal of experience in the fitness and coaching world. He is a qualified swimming teacher, sports therapist, personal fitness instructor and has just recently graduated from level 2 triathlon coach to a fully qualified level 3 high performing coach (L3HPCP).
Barry’s experience comes not just from a theoretical and classroom background, but also from a practical one. Whilst his main love is triathlon, having completed 3 full Ironman distance events and guiding a visual impaired athlete around the world championship event; he has competed at varying degrees in a great many other sports. His understanding of these, as well as physiotherapy combined with coaching and fitness, means he is in a superb place to provide advice and guidance on injury rehab and return to sport.
Lyndsay is newer to sport, but is a personal fitness instructor, level 1 Triathlon coach and swimming teacher. She has a lot of knowledge and empathy for those at the lower end of the fitness and competitive spectrum. Her friendly, positive nature ensures everyone is relaxed, so even those newer, more nervous individuals can find the activities fun yet fulfilling.
In addition to sport, Lyndsay also works in a rehab setting. Primarily visiting clients in their own homes, she provides advice and instruction on exercises to help them complete their rehabilitation journey. These sessions can also be in the pool or the great outdoors. Lyndsay’s kind and joyous personality make her a hit with clients and combined with her enthusiastic and dedicated approach she always achieves the best results possible.
