I moved to Wales at the end of 2012 for a new job and started working in the oil and gas industry as an office-based geologist. After a few turbulent years, the company I was working for went through redundancy, finding myself as risk of losing my job I decided to go back to studying. I chose Beauty Therapy as this is something, I had done years before. I soon fell in love with massage and the holistic side of the industry and knew this was something I wanted to pursue. The mind and the body are so clever and are connected in every way. If your mind is relaxed and at ease, then your body will also feel relaxed. If you are experiencing pain, when the mind is calm the body can heal much more effectively than if your mind is racing a hundred miles an hour. Reiki changed my life, I sought out Reiki when I as going through a difficult time and wanted something holistic rather than medical to help and I can honestly say it changed my life, so much so that I went on to study this practice and am now able to offer it as a treatment to my clients. Along with Reiki I also offer crystal therapy, both therapies compliment each other and are great on their own but together create a whole new experience. Many people think of massage as a luxury, a treat, something they have on a special occasion or at a spa retreat. In truth a regular massage has many benefits for the mind, body, and soul. Massage helps you to be still, present and in the moment and give your body time to relax. It helps to reduce stress and has proven clinical benefits. A regular massage can help to manage pain, reduce stress, and promote an improved sense of self and well-being.
