A woman has been taken to hospital with serious injuries following a collision in Llandudno earlier today, Tuesday 20 January.

At 11:43am, police were informed of a collision involving a pedestrian and a Blue BMW 1 series on Charlotte Road, outside of B&Q.

Emergency services attended the area, which resulted in the pedestrian being taken to hospital where she remains.

A 45-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving and currently remains in custody whilst enquiries are ongoing.

The road was closed for initial collision investigation but has since been re-opened.

Sergeant Alun Jones of the Roads Crime Unit said: “I urge anyone who witnessed the collision and hasn’t already spoken to police to contact us.

“Additionally, anybody who was travelling in the nearby area prior to the collision and may have dash-cam footage is asked to get in touch with officers.”

We are appealing for witnesses following a serious road traffic collision in Prestatyn yesterday evening (Thursday, 8 January).
The incident occurred on Station Road, close to the junction with Bastion Road, at approximately 6.30pm and involved a black Mercedes C Class.
The vehicle was involved in a collision with two female pedestrians, both of whom sustained serious injuries and were subsequently taken to hospital.
A 39-year-old male was arrested at the scene on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving.
He remains in police custody.
Detective Inspector Tim Evans of the Serious Collision Investigation Unit said: "If you witnessed the manner of driving of this vehicle in the moments before, or at the time of the collision, your information could be extremely important.
“I am also appealing to anyone who may have CCTV, dash-cam, or doorbell footage that captured this collision, or footage of the Mercedes being driven prior to it, to contact us as soon as possible.
“Even if you believe the information or footage is minor, it may still be helpful.”

We are appealing for witnesses following a two-vehicle, head on serious road traffic collision which occurred yesterday evening (Sunday 4th January) at approximately 6.33pm on the A525 near to Oriel House Hotel; between St Asaph and Trefnant, Denbighshire.

The collision involved a Black Audi A6 and Grey Seat Ateca. The Audi had travelled through St Asaph towards Trefnant, and the Seat was travelling in the opposite direction.

Sergeant Leigh McCann of the Roads Crime Unit said: "If you witnessed the manner of driving of either vehicle in the moments before, or at the time of the collision, your information could be extremely important. I am also seeking anyone who may have CCTV, dash-cam or doorbell footage that captured either vehicle prior to the collision, or which captured the collision itself to contact us as soon as possible. Even if you believe the information or footage is minor, it may still be helpful. I'm also urging the driver of a light coloured silver small hatchback vehicle, that may have been overtaken in St Asaph prior to the collision, to make contact with us."

We are appealing for witnesses to a road traffic collision that occurred on the westbound carriageway of the A*5 at around 7.10pm on Sunday, 21 December.
The incident, which involved a Silver Audi A3, occurred at the Pinfold Lane junction near Northop Hall.
The vehicle left the carriageway and collided with trees on the opposite side of the junction, causing injuries to the driver and passenger.

The family of the man who died following a road traffic collision near Porthmadog on Saturday night have paid tribute to him.

34-year-old Mathew Hardy, from Pwllheli was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.

In a heartfelt tribute his family said:

“As a family our lives have changed forever, following the incomprehensible loss of Mathew in this horrific tragedy.

“There are no words to describe the pain and grief we are feeling. He was an incredible son, partner, brother and friend, and his absence will leave us feeling an emptiness forever.

“Mathew was a gentle, calm and kind character who was so deeply loved. He was thrilled to have recently moved into a new home, with a baby girl on the way.

“We truly appreciate everyone’s kindness and support and politely ask for privacy during this difficult time.”

Officers continue to appeal for witnesses and information to help with their ongoing investigation and are particularly keen to hear from anyone who may have witnessed or has dashcam footage of events leading up to the collision which involved a VW Golf and an Isuzu recovery truck.

Mae teulu dyn a fu farw yn dilyn gwrthdrawiad ger Porthmadog nos Sadwrn wedi talu teyrnged iddo.

Cyhoeddwyd bod Mathew Hardy, 34 oed, o Bwllheli wedi marw yn y fan a’r lle.

Wrth dalu teyrnged fe ddywedodd ei deulu:

“Fel teulu mae ein bywydau ni wedi cael eu chwalu gan y drychineb o golli Mathew mor frawychus o sydyn. Does dim geiriau all ddisgrifio’r boen a’r galar ‘da ni’n ei deimlo. Roedd yn fab, cariad, brawd a ffrind mor boblogaidd i nifer, a bydd yn gadael bwlch ofnadwy o dywyll ar ei ôl.

“Roedd Mathew yn hynod o annwyl a hoffus, ac yng nghanol cyfnod mor gyffrous yn ei fywyd yn symud i dŷ newydd a merch fach ar y ffordd.

“Hoffem ddiolch i bawb am eu caredigrwydd a geiriau o gysur ar amser mor heriol a thrist. Gofynnwn yn garedig am amser a phreifatrwydd i ddygymod hefo’r galar.”

Mae swyddogion yn parhau i apelio am dystion a gwybodaeth er mwyn eu helpu hefo’r ymchwiliad, ac maen nhw’n awyddus i glywed gan unrhyw un sydd hefo gwybodaeth neu sydd hefo lluniau camera cerbyd yn dangos yr hyn a ddigwyddodd yn arwain at y gwrthdrawiad rhwng car VW Golf a cherbyd casglu Isuzu.

A man is in hospital with serious injuries following a collision on Sunday 21 December ⤵️

A man is in hospital with serious injuries following a collision on Sunday 21 December.

Officers attended the single-track road between Glyn Ceirog, Llangollen, and Fron, Wrexham, at 2.15pm following reports of a collision involving off-road motorbikes.

It is reported that one of the motorcyclists involved left the scene following the collision.

Sergeant Danielle Ashley, of the Roads Crime Unit, said: “I am appealing for anyone who witnessed the collision or knows the identity of the individuals involved to come forward.

“I am also appealing for anyone with footage of a large group of off-road motorcyclists wearing Santa costumes travelling in the Llangollen and Wrexham areas to contact us.

Two men have died following a road traffic collision near Porthmadog on Saturday night.

North Wales Police were called shortly before 9:30pm on Saturday, December 20 following a collision between an Isuzu recovery truck and a VW Golf.

Sadly, the driver of the recovery vehicle, 34-year-old Mathew Hardy, from Pwllheli, was pronounced dead at the scene and his family are being supported by specially trained Family Liaison Officers.

The driver of the Golf, 40-year-old Daniel Atkinson of Blaenau Ffestiniog, also died at scene. His family have also been contacted by specially trained officers.

Detective Sergeant Katie Davies from North Wales Police’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit said: “Our thoughts are very much with the families and friends of both men.

“We are appealing to anybody who may have information that could assist with our ongoing investigation to contact us as soon as possible.

“The road will remain closed until later this afternoon (Monday 22 December). We’d like to thank the local community and motorists for their ongoing patience and understanding.”

We have referred this matter to the Independent Office of Police Conduct (IOPC).

The below vehicle was stopped and the driver was found to not be wearing a seat belt. Checks were conducted which showed the vehicle's MOT had also expired and the driver was not insured to drive.
