Busy day today, catching up on admin while watching the snow melt outside my home office window!
I really loved running the Betwixtmas Events on the 28th & 29th December and just remembered that I promised to share the warming Mulled Apple drink that we had bubbling away on the stove at Llanrhos Old School... so here it is... I added some Star Anise and ground Cinnamon. A HUG IN A MUG!! Enjoy xx
A warming non alcoholic spiced mulled apple juice that's perfect for a cold winter's night.

New Year New Newsletter....
Read here... cup of tea and a hot water bottle recommended!
“I hope that this is the year you realise everything – every last thing in your life – will happen with much more ease if it is alignment with your soul’s true intent.
I hope this is the year you begin to unearth those truths from inside you.
I hope this is the year you find the boldest, bravest kind of courage.
I hope this is the year you walk fiercely into the life that was always meant to be yours.
Within you lives a great vision for your life, quieted over time by the world.
It is once again time to listen.
It is once again time to live.”
Is 2026 going to be a Pivot Year for you? I hope so xx

Yes to all of this... Happy New Year to all xx
On the stroke of midnight tonight, you can resolve to be better, if you like…
to be fitter,
to eat cleaner,
to work harder.
On the stroke of midnight tonight,
you can resolve to become a whole new you,
if you so choose.
Or, you can take a moment to acknowledge what you already are.
Because it’s a lot.
You are a lot.
And you deserve to be truly seen.
On the stroke of midnight tonight, perhaps you could congratulate yourself, for coping.
For breaking, again,
for rebuilding, again.
For catching the stones life has thrown at you,
and using them to build your castle that little bit more beautifully.
And if you have used those stones to block yourself in for the ‘heal’, perhaps you can realign them this year. Make a grander gate, not a higher wall.
You have endured, my friend.
Through times you thought unendurable. You did.
And I don’t see the need to resolve to become a whole new you,
when you are already so very much indeed.
Happy new year.
You made it.
Now let us face another 365 day-turn, arms wide…
accepting, embracing and ‘seeing’ one other,
for all we truly are…
breaks and all.

Solstice blessings everyone... nourishing times as we get ready to welcome the light back in slowly, slowly. Everything in Nature does everything at a steady pace. We are part of Nature so go easy today and over the coming weeks as the light returns xx
"Even the darkest night will end and the sun will rise." Attributed to Victor Hugo
The winter solstice. The longest night. The shortest day.
And a very funny time of year for me personally as it marks the slowing down after a busy period and the most joyous thing of all, the return of the light.
Yesterday's highlight was a lovely walk up a big hill (legs were strong, lungs were good) to drop off some calendars to someone in the neighbouring village. Spotting lots of old nests in the bare hedges, listening to lots of bird song, spotting where I think the Goldcrest lives. Mr Goldcrest, I'm going to be watching out for you.....
The low was my big toe that I did something stupid to recently and by the time I'd walked down the hill, was very unhappy with me.
And then I had a very funny Muldoon out at the stables who is such a stroppy little boy. Donkeys are meant to be incredibly stoic. Junior certainly is. Muldoon, he wears every emotion on his face and is all the funnier for it. He was obviously very itchy and so threw himself down on the concrete and had a big roll and scratch.
The others would never do this. But not Muldoon, he's got to deal with things and he'll do them right there, right now. Such a funny, foolish long eared little boy.
Have a good, short day. And I'll be thinking of an old friend, Wende Anne Maunder who I know loved the return of the light too ###

I have been a student of yoga since January 1999, with my most influential teacher, Barbara Occleshaw. I longed to do what she did, to inspire people as she inspired me. It took me 12 years, but in 2011 I finally signed up for my two year TT course at Dru Yoga in Bethesda. I qualified in 2013 and have also trained in Reiki 1 & 2, Meditation, Unity Partner Yoga and Daring To Rest Yoga Nidra, along my winding yoga journey.
I have taught hundreds of yoga classes of all shapes and sizes. I have trained with many different teachers, I own a veritable mountain of yoga books, and have even read a few of them :) I love reading inspiring yoga blogs and listening to yoga podcasts while I'm driving or doggy walking. I listen to mantras and sing along with Deva Premal and Snatam Kaur on Spotify. I fall asleep listening to yoga nidra. I meditate every morning and night, and sometimes in-between as well, at my favourite spot by the stream in the woods.
Twenty years since my very first class and and I really feel this in my bones now, my personal mantra is ... Yoga is my Life and my Life is Yoga. The two are intertwined. I am so grateful that Yoga and Meditation found me when I was moving towards the most challenging years of my life. I would say that Yoga was there for me when no-one else was. When I thought I was losing the fight, I didn't go under. Instead, I raced to my weekly yoga class, found my centre, put myself back together, ready to face another week of my crazy life.
My Yoga classes are in Conwy, North Wales and I also run Workshops, Meditation Classes, Evening events, Yoga Nidra classes and I host Yoga retreats once a month for The Zest Life on Anglesey. Pop a message in my Inbox if you would like to know more.
