Setting and respecting personal boundaries is essential for mental well-being and self-worth.

Repeating the affirmation "I set healthy boundaries and prioritize my needs" is like putting on a protective shield that keeps away negative vibes and energy.

It's a reminder that it's okay to say 'no' sometimes and to put yourself first.

Just like when you're on an aeroplane and they tell you to put on your oxygen mask before helping others, in life, you need to care for yourself before you can truly help those around you.

By setting clear boundaries, you're giving yourself the space and time to recharge, grow, and be the best version of yourself.

It's not being selfish; it's about understanding that you deserve respect, care, and love, both from yourself and from others.

Keep this thought close, and it'll guide you in moments of doubt, reminding you of your worth.

If you struggle to say 'no' even when you need to, for fear of upsetting someoneπŸ‘‰ read my article on 'How to politely say no'πŸ‘‡

Saying to yourself "I practice self-love and self-compassion every day" is like giving yourself a daily dose of sunshine, even on cloudy days.

It reminds you that, just like a plant needs water and light to grow, your heart and mind need love and kindness to thrive.

Embracing self-love isn't just about feeling good, it's about treating yourself with the same patience and understanding you'd offer to a close friend.

It's a reminder that you're deserving of care, respect, and happiness.

So, whenever you face tough times or feel down, remember this affirmation.

Let it be your guiding light, showing you the way to a more positive and loving relationship with yourself.

The stress hormones adrenaline and cortisol are released in the body when the brain detects danger.

Often with anxiety this perceived danger comes in the form of worry, overthinking and overwhelm.

The brain senses danger but can't distinguish between real and imaginary.

This is actually our life saving mechanism. it is what preserved our lives when there were dangerous wild animals or warring tribes ready to pounce.

Adrenaline forces the heart to pump more blood and cortisol releases glucose sugar from the liver to give a boost of energy to the muscles too.

However if we don't actually need this bodily reaction then the body has to cope with the after effects of these hormones that are pumping around our system.

This can often leave us feeling lightheaded and jittery, a feeling of butterflies in the stomach as digestion has been paused and is now starting to kick back in.

When blood sugar is too high insulin is released to store this excess as fat but your glucose stores in your liver will be running low so this can make you feel faint.

Your palms may be sweaty and your heart is thumping like a freight train.

It can all seem quite frightening but it is actually your body doing it's job to keep you alive - even if it has mistaken that tense feeling as an approaching tiger and not mental worrying.

Understanding that you are not actually physically sick can really help.

It may feel really uncomfortable but if you can just calm yourself (otherwise the whole process just keeps going) take deep breaths and ground yourself, you can turn this reaction off and just allow the feelings to dissipate.

Eating some slow release carbs and doing some exercise can help speed up the process too.

If this is becoming a very familiar experience and you would like help in preventing this from happening in the first place, then message me for a free discovery call to see how I can help.

Believing in the affirmation "I achieve my intellectual and academic goals" is like having a compass in the journey of learning.

When you tell yourself this, you're setting a positive tone for your mind to push through challenges and soak up knowledge.

It's not just about getting good grades, but about growing, understanding, and believing in your own potential.

When you believe in your ability, you become unstoppable in chasing your dreams. It's like a personal cheerleader in your head, reminding you that no goal is too big when you put your mind to it.

Keep that thought close, and watch how it changes the way you approach learning and life.
