🐠 There’s nothing fishy going on here... just a fin-tastic day out! 🌊
Our residents had an amazing time exploring the Blue Planet Aquarium — smiles all around and plenty of laughs to go with it! Even our wonderful mini bus driver Arthur looked like he was enjoying himself just as much as everyone else! 😄

☘️💚 Happy St Patrick’s Day from all of us at Astbury Mere Care Home! 💚☘️
We had a toe-tapping, laughter-filled day with our wonderful residents dancing a proper Irish jig during music therapy 🎶🕺 Instruments were shaking, feet were moving, and smiles were absolutely everywhere!
And would you believe it… just as the singing reached its peak, the spring sunshine decided to join the party too 🌞 Must’ve been our residents hitting those high notes that made the sun put its hat on! 🎤☀️
Who knew we had so many hidden Irish dancers in the building? We’re thinking Riverdance might have some competition… 👀💃

🌸 Happy Mother’s Day from all of us at Astbury Mere Care Home!🌸

The weekend was all about celebrating the wonderful mums, grandmothers and mother‑figures who fill our home with love, wisdom and warmth every single day.

We shared smiles, enjoyed dainty finger sandwiches, indulged in delicious cakes, and raised a cheerful glass of fizz (with lemonade, of course!) to honour the incredible women who mean so much to us. 🥂✨The lounge was filled with laughter, stories, and those magical little moments that remind us just how special family truly is — in every form it comes.💐

To all the amazing mums, we celebrate you today and every day. Thank you for the love you give, the joy you bring, and the memories you help create.

Nutrition and Hydration Week is a great opportunity for our team to get creative and come up with new ways to provide our residents with enriching and exciting food and drinks. From smoothie stations to tea trollies, this is always one tasty week!

Yesterday at Astbury Mere we were proud to host a wonderful community coffee morning in support of Marie Curie 💛
The team and residents came together dressed in yellow, surrounded by daffodils, cake, and plenty of happy smiles. It was a beautiful morning filled with warmth, laughter, and heartfelt moments as we celebrated and remembered loved ones who will always hold a special place in our hearts.
As we welcome the first signs of spring, it felt especially meaningful to gather as a community and support the incredible work that Marie Curie does every day for people and families when they need it most.
We’re so proud to host events like this at Astbury Mere – bringing people together, giving back, and spreading kindness in our community.
A huge thank you to everyone who joined us, wore yellow, shared cake, and helped make the morning so special. Here’s to friendship, remembrance, and brighter days ahead 🌼💛

🌸Spring is in the air!🌼

Our residents enjoyed a lovely trip to Bridgemere Garden Centre, part of The Blue Diamond Group, making the most of the beautiful start to spring. From a delicious spot of lunch to a little browse around the shops, it was the perfect way to spend the day together.
There were plenty of smiles, great conversation, and maybe even a few treats picked up along the way! What better way to welcome the new season? 🌷🛍️
