trundl

trundl trundl, the UK's only walking app that repurposes your everyday walks into charity donations and more, without you having to raise the funds yourself.

We're revolutionising the way you think about walking, one step at a time. ABOUT TRUNDL AND WHY WE EXIST

Founded by Hil who currently lives in Cheshire, the idea of trundl came about WHEN she hit mid life. Because of one health set back and sports injury after another, at the age of 48 she realised that being first over the line and top of the leader board wasn't for everyone or could no longer b

e the goal. She set about building a virtual community app where instead of being competitive, people could be motivated differently to turn the door handle and be more active. "By pressing GO on the app, we all pull together as a virtual community. We walk as far or as fast as we can, it doesn't matter if it's 1km or 50km, the motivation is to raise money for charity without the trundlr having to do the fund raising themselves. The power of one persons' walk multiplied as we grow, makes a huge difference to all of our outdoor and mobility related charities, in turn making each and every one of us proud to be part of the trundl community, that's my vision for trundl"

Repurposing your daily walks, dog walks or trips to school or the office on foot can all be applied to trundl. It's easy, makes you feel good and gives you a fab sense of social good. Plus with offers from brand partners you even get the chance to redeem your membership fee. Our monthly member subscription is £3.99 or when you sign up for our newsletter you will receive a special trial offer. We'd love trundl to be free but we have huge costs in running the app so: How does it work? At trundl we are proud to say that we donate a minimum of 10% of our monthly income to UK outdoor and mobility related charities for every step taken via the community trundl app. Importantly, we do not charge our charity partners a fee or commission for being part of the trundl community. Have a look see for yourself and decide if trundl gives you the extra motivation you need to turn the door handle and be active because belonging to the trundl community will do you good and does good for UK good causes without you having to raise all the funds yourself.

Phew what a scorcher!

We didn't quite make it to the
trundl-ometer total, but that was completely understandable given the weather. Better to take shorter walks and stay safe.

⭐We did however achieve 90% of the trundl target and helped to raise £180.

Thank you to everyone who trundled for this fantastic cause that helping children from deprived areas to experience food production first hand and learn about the land that sustains us all.

Our 2nd Marine trundl should make all of our members proud.

Thank you to MLA College for match funding our marine conservation project to raise £550 when all of our daily walkers and runners pressed GO trundl on their apps and set about their daily routines.

We are proud to support Sussex Wildlife Trust and their Marine Regeneration Project, helping to collect and recycle fishing nets, which often end up in landfill or as harmful "ghost gear" at the bottom of the sea. The nets are taken to a specialist centre that transforms them into new products.

We hope that you are proud of the impact you are making with all of your walks.

Tune in tomorrow to see who we are walking for, It's a quick 10-day dash for a brilliant cause helping support children in underprivileged communities.

Like many things with trundl, our CO2 Saver feature is simple to use, but clever behind the scenes.

If you're consciously not using the car and walking instead, the CO2 option then tracks the estimated carbon saving you've made, according to your size of car It adds up on your own impact page and within the trundl total, allowing everyone to see the personal and collective impact made.

And every time we save 2,000kg of CO2, we convert these savings into environmental projects, like the current Marine Recovery trundl for that will recycle a whole lorryload of discarded fishing nets.

Put your steps to good work in more ways than one. Thank you trundlrs

🐟 🦔 What do fish and hedgehogs have in common?
❌Not a lot.
✅But they do when we talk about trundl.
❓Why
Because we're the UK's only non competitive walking for charity app where you don't do the fundraising yourself. We do that for you and for the next 21 days we're helping with .

Our members pay the price of a cuppa a month (£3.99) and we use 30% of that to donate to charities and develop relationships with sponsors such as MLA College, brands large and small such as Sykes Holiday Cottages and Jin Designs and companies of which there are too many to mention to increase the member donations. We then set a collective walking challenge for every trundl member to join in with and when we hit the walking target we pay the donation, all you have to do is join in, press GO trundl on your app and see the magic happen.

So today we're celebrating our 2nd Marine Recovery trundl for Sussex Wildlife Trust

As part of trundl’s carbon-saving mission, every time we collectively save 2,000KGs of CO2 by consciously leaving the car behind and walking instead we will support the Trust's Fishing Net Recycling Scheme that is linked to the Sussex Kelp Recovery project. Kelp beds along the coast have been devastated, but this project is giving them a chance.

The Net Recycling Scheme collects and recycles fishing nets in the region, which often end up in landfill or as "ghost gear", harming seabed ecosystems like kelp beds. Recycled nets are then transformed into material for new products.

Each of our Marine Recovery trundls for Sussex Wildlife Trust will fund the collection and transportation of a whole van of nets the recycling center

And we're delighted that this trundl is sponsored by MLA College. MLA College are members of trundl and are award-winners in global education, They specialise in UK distance learning degrees, which can be studied from anywhere in the world, with a particular focus on the dynamic marine and maritime sector.

What an amazing trundl for

Everyone stepped up for National Walking Month and we had to increase the distance and donation target twice.

Huge thanks to all of our wonderful trundlrs who added their everyday walks, hikes, dog-walks and rambles to this trundl. This donation could support at least 5 x 5K Your Ways Groupe for a month or it could fund a month of educational workshops or enable nearly 30 one-on-one online training sessions.

Massive thanks also to for sponsoring this trundl - a company that really lives up to its promise to positively impact communities and causes.
