trundl

trundl trundl, the UK's only walking app that repurposes your everyday walks into charity donations and more, without you having to raise the funds yourself.

We're revolutionising the way you think about walking, one step at a time. ABOUT TRUNDL AND WHY WE EXIST

Founded by Hil who currently lives in Cheshire, the idea of trundl came about WHEN she hit mid life. Because of one health set back and sports injury after another, at the age of 48 she realised that being first over the line and top of the leader board wasn't for everyone or could no longer be the goal. She set about building a virtual community app where instead of being competitive, people could be motivated differently to turn the door handle and be more active. "By pressing GO on the app, we all pull together as a virtual community. We walk as far or as fast as we can, it doesn't matter if it's 1km or 50km, the motivation is to raise money for charity without the trundlr having to do the fund raising themselves. The power of one persons' walk multiplied as we grow, makes a huge difference to all of our outdoor and mobility related charities, in turn making each and every one of us proud to be part of the trundl community, that's my vision for trundl"

Repurposing your daily walks, dog walks or trips to school or the office on foot can all be applied to trundl. It's easy, makes you feel good and gives you a fab sense of social good. Plus with offers from brand partners you even get the chance to redeem your membership fee. Our monthly member subscription is £3.99 or when you sign up for our newsletter you will receive a special trial offer. We'd love trundl to be free but we have huge costs in running the app so: How does it work? At trundl we are proud to say that we donate a minimum of 10% of our monthly income to UK outdoor and mobility related charities for every step taken via the community trundl app. Importantly, we do not charge our charity partners a fee or commission for being part of the trundl community. Have a look see for yourself and decide if trundl gives you the extra motivation you need to turn the door handle and be active because belonging to the trundl community will do you good and does good for UK good causes without you having to raise all the funds yourself.

This may look like a more than averagely handsome garden tabby, but this highland tiger represents a rewilding story in progress.

Once widespread, wildcats are on the brink of extinction in Scotland.
Sadly, habitat loss, interbreeding with domestic cats and persecution forced the wildcat population into drastic decline.

But in 2023, led by and a partnership keen to make a difference on the ground, the first group of wildcats were released at a trial site in the Cairngorms.

It is partnerships like this, involving local communities in the solutions, that are championed by .

Rewilding Britain polling show that 83% of the public is behind their mission and we're out walking with the trundl app to help create funds for more projects. Big thanks to our friends at AG Impact for supporting us and making every step count.

You know us, anything to spread the word about walking.

Do you know anyone in the Manchester area, in their 20s or 30s who want to get into walking or join a group?

There's no better way to support your physical and mental health than getting out there in the fresh air. See below for details of one such group.
Can you recommend any others in different areas too?
Happy trundling everyone. 🦔

Huge thanks are due to all the trundl members who went out walking with the trundl charity app to create this donation for .

While the funds might seem small, this amount could buy up to 300kg of food specifically designed for red squirrels or it could plant 6 acres of wildflower meadow.

And it takes the all-time trundl donation total for National Parks UK to nearly £5,000, created through many steps being taken with the app and with no need for anyone to have to get sponsorship or do any fundraising.

It's easy charity giving and exercise made easy, with a little adding up to a lot.

Thank you

𝗬𝗼𝘂 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗻𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗼𝗼 𝗼𝗹𝗱 ! 💏

63 years of trundling. That's not far off the truth for this pair who have always walked as part of their daily exercise. Very aptly they kissed, at the kissing gate in today which sits on the very edge of to mark their 63rd year of being married.

Pauline was a Jones when she got married so was there a more fitting place to be for a today? Especially as they are helping to raise funds for with us until the 21st October.

Are they the longest married trundling pair? Does anyone know if we have members that beat that milestone? For most of you, you know this is Hil's Mum and Dad and they are a pivotal part of Hil's love of the outdoors and walking.

We'd like to extend a very very happy anniversary to this special pair of trundlrs who we have all come to love and respect for their "use it or lose it" attitude to life ❤️

Have a lovely week everyone. 🦔

An amazing job yesterday (Sunday) where we had almost a record amount of trundlrs out walking and pressing GO on their trundl apps to help reach as much of the target of 8000kms as we could. We finally finished at 6,833kms and raised £300 for . It was actually £298 but we thought you'd want us to round it up being the lovely people you are.

Never ever think that your daily walk, your run, jog, or hike doesn't mean anything. To date just by putting one foot in front of the other and everyone paying a small "ish" - we know times are tough for many, membership fee, you have helped to raise in excess of £28,500 now. Could you raise that on your own? Probably not, although some of our amazing trundlrs do because they continue to raise funds through sponsorship and we think you are amazing.

We salute you all lovely trundlrs.

Now you just have to tap your app and see who we're walking for for the next 22 days 🦔🦔🦔

At the start of Assistance Dog Week, when we're raising funds for , we wanted to talk about the impact an assistant dog can make upon a tough part of parenting a neurodivergent child.

Sleep. Or rather the lack of it for everyone.

Many children with autism find it hard to fall and stay asleep, impacting their own wellbeing and that of the family that loves and supports them.

For Jon's family, bedtime was a battle from day one. Bedtime often became a grueling 4-hour ordeal of tears and frustration all round.

But then came Casper. Jon and Casper formed a quick bond and one night Casper jumped up for a snuggle and bedtime was transformed. With his canine friend at the foot of the bed, Jon could settle more quickly and amazingly stayed asleep throughout the night.

Nights ceased to be fraught after this and Jon soon came to love bedtime as a source of comfort and companionship. With Casper by his side, other aspects of Jon's routine became smoother and family life was invigorated. As they shared:

'Sometimes, love takes the shape of a wagging tail and a warm cuddle, and it can change everything'.

Huge thanks to for supporting this trundl

Phew what a scorcher!

We didn't quite make it to the
trundl-ometer total, but that was completely understandable given the weather. Better to take shorter walks and stay safe.

⭐We did however achieve 90% of the trundl target and helped to raise £180.

Our 2nd Marine trundl should make all of our members proud.

Thank you to MLA College for match funding our marine conservation project to raise £550 when all of our daily walkers and runners pressed GO trundl on their apps and set about their daily routines.

We are proud to support Sussex Wildlife Trust and their Marine Regeneration Project, helping to collect and recycle fishing nets, which often end up in landfill or as harmful "ghost gear" at the bottom of the sea. The nets are taken to a specialist centre that transforms them into new products.

We hope that you are proud of the impact you are making with all of your walks.

Tune in tomorrow to see who we are walking for, It's a quick 10-day dash for a brilliant cause helping support children in underprivileged communities.
