trundl

trundl trundl, the UK's only walking app that repurposes your everyday walks into charity donations and more, without you having to raise the funds yourself.

We're revolutionising the way you think about walking, one step at a time. ABOUT TRUNDL AND WHY WE EXIST

Founded by Hil who currently lives in Cheshire, the idea of trundl came about WHEN she hit mid life. Because of one health set back and sports injury after another, at the age of 48 she realised that being first over the line and top of the leader board wasn't for everyone or could no longer be the goal. She set about building a virtual community app where instead of being competitive, people could be motivated differently to turn the door handle and be more active. "By pressing GO on the app, we all pull together as a virtual community. We walk as far or as fast as we can, it doesn't matter if it's 1km or 50km, the motivation is to raise money for charity without the trundlr having to do the fund raising themselves. The power of one persons' walk multiplied as we grow, makes a huge difference to all of our outdoor and mobility related charities, in turn making each and every one of us proud to be part of the trundl community, that's my vision for trundl"

Repurposing your daily walks, dog walks or trips to school or the office on foot can all be applied to trundl. It's easy, makes you feel good and gives you a fab sense of social good. Plus with offers from brand partners you even get the chance to redeem your membership fee. Our monthly member subscription is £3.99 or when you sign up for our newsletter you will receive a special trial offer. We'd love trundl to be free but we have huge costs in running the app so: How does it work? At trundl we are proud to say that we donate a minimum of 10% of our monthly income to UK outdoor and mobility related charities for every step taken via the community trundl app. Importantly, we do not charge our charity partners a fee or commission for being part of the trundl community. Have a look see for yourself and decide if trundl gives you the extra motivation you need to turn the door handle and be active because belonging to the trundl community will do you good and does good for UK good causes without you having to raise all the funds yourself.

My tree has got 30 little apples - I thought there would be 18.
There’s nearly the same number as in my class!
I have given my tree water and looked after it, so it’s very healthy and grown lots of apples.”

This delighted feedback from a pupil at St Alban's Primary School in Havant just goes to show how quickly orchards start to make an impact.

From the first hands that help plant the trees, to all the many more that will tend for them, protect the flowers and then harvest the fruit, these orchards touch the hearts, minds and tastebuds of many generations of school children.

We're on last All Go trundl, creating funds for The Tree Council and all of our long-term charity partners. If you're a member, join in and turn steps into donations.

Hil Mines has been a long term supporters of Trussell as, sadly, foodbank services are needed more than ever. So, if you're a member, don't forget to help create donations and boost your wellbeing by walking with the trundl app.

are all about spreading the love of walking so that more people can enjoy the physical and mental benefits of regular outdoor activity

But, this isn't always possible if you don't have lovely spaces to walk in

Which is why Ramblers also are dedicated to protecting and clearing our existing pathways and saving the 41,000 miles of paths under threat.

We're walking for Ramblers as part of our last All Go. So, if you like walking on the already poor range of paths that we have access to, please remember to put your best foot forward to lend support to our right to roam

As you will be aware by now, we are sadly hanging up our boots, so if you're a member, do join in and put your steps to good use for these amazing UK causes.

Thank you from the trundl team

We've always been about small steps making a difference and whilst this donation may be small, for all charities in this day and age, the little things when added together, make into a lot.

So if you joined in with this trundl over the last few weeks and pressed go whilst you walked the dog, took the kids to school or just went for an amble - fast or slow - thank you from all of us, because every one of our needs a little helping hand.

However, if you know or work for a large company who are looking to reach their environmental goals and reduce their carbon footprint then let us know by dropping a message here. We'll be happy to pop you in touch with the Head of Partnerships at National Parks Partnerships for an informal chat. She's lovely and we don't think you will regret it.

How astonishing is Hadrian's Wall? Imagine how it must have felt for the Roman guards staring into the void and darkness, jumping at every sound.

Meadows and grassland are incredibly important for wildflowers, insects, birds and even small mammals.

These fragile habitats are becoming increasingly threatened due to intensive agriculture and building developments.

The set out to help farmers manage their fields to encourage biodiversity.

We're out walking with the trundl app to support their conservation missions, why not join in from wherever you are and put your feet to good work.

Thank you

This shot from Exmoor, Europe's first International Dark Sky reserve, is a tonic in itself, but imagine seeing this for yourself.

With less light pollution than the rest of the UK, National Parks are an astronomers’ delight and offer a wealth of stargazing opportunities for all.

With warmer nights and the crisp skies of spring, check out on the National Parks website for Dark Skies events.

Meanwhile we're trundling to support , join in and put your steps to work conserving these national treasures.

We're off on a trundl to support in their conservation mission.

Up to 80% of the country’s priority conservation habitats are within National Parks, providing havens for important wildlife including birds, mammals, insects and plants. And heath and moorlands are one of the most important for combating climate change as their peat soils lock in CO2.

Often dominated by beautiful purple heather, wild heathlands are an iconic feature of our National Parks and one of the most extensive habitats found within them.

They are mostly man-made and although they may seem rugged and sparsely populated, they are home to a variety of important wildlife.

Come trundling and help protect those purple hills

Thank you to everyone who took the trundl app out on their walks, runs, hikes and wanders.

You've helped raise important funds that will put to great use in their puppy training programme.

To date we have donated more than £4,000 to Dogs for Autism and we couldn't be more proud.
