οΏΌA fully sensory afternoon for the residents at Park Lane today. Smell πŸ‘ƒπŸ» Taste πŸ‘… Sound 🎧Touch 🫴and Sight πŸ‘€ were explored in our interactive session on β€˜Holidays at the Beach’. πŸ–οΈ
With the sounds of the seaside playing, we watched clips of holidays gone by, tastes and smells of the seaside including cockles and mussels with some candy floss on the side.
Sand and shells finished the sensory experience with residents remembering holidays of oldπŸ–οΈ

Day at the Seaside.

Kath and Mavis enjoyed a drive in the car to New Brighton, with Jackie & Ashura. Though it was very windy it didnt stop us all having a great day, we had a look around before walking onto the beach and collecting some shells, followed by Fish and Chips in a cafe with a lovely cup of tea and then finished the day off in the Amusement Arcades where we changed some money into 2p's and played on coin pusher. The day brought back many happy memories and we all throughly enjoyed it.

Bank Holiday afternoon here at Park Lane found the residents having a game of Bingo with a difference! ✨

Animal Bingo went down a storm with our residents having to recognise the sounds of all different animals. Mavis, Val and Pauline were among the winners πŸ™ŒπŸ˜

We arranged for afternoon tea this afternoon for residents who were 100 years of age or over.

Our Chef made some lovely little individual cakes, Cream scones with Strawberries, Mini Eclairs & Danish pastries.

We had a pot of tea and enjoyed a chat 😍🍰

We have had a very special day here at Park Lane!

Everyone celebrated ! βœ¨πŸ’œ

Our residents enjoyed a morning painting their favourite things. Everyone got involved staff and residents, Dorothy did a fab painting of Mow Cop Castle.

Followed by hand massages and a special Afternoon tea with the deputy Mayor of Congleton Cllr Suzy Firkin πŸ˜πŸ‘‹
