Employee of the month is Lisa. Lisa is one of Park Lanes amazing seniors and of late she has also been one of our amazing Chefs. Lisa serves up delicious meals for our residents as well as her role as a senior. Well done Lisa you deserve this award going above and beyond your duties. Manager Jayne presented Lisa with her certificate and prize. Thank you for all your hard work 🥰🥰🏅🏅🥰

It's been another busy day today, Alex from Macclesfield Community Sports Trust has been in to interact with our residents, they played a game where they had to get a ball into a ring by either rolling or bouncing it, it needed some skill. Judith was the overall winner getting 4 balls in. Alex is a really nice gentleman and has abit of banter with the residents which they love.
Staff wore Red T.Shirts as it was Red Nose Day, Resident Vic very kindly took a great photo of Jackie & Eileen. After dinner Jean had another bash at the ongoing jigsaw,🧩 Jean did really well and fixed quite a few more pieces in, but added that the "pieces were small and the jigsaw itself was too busy".
Jackie has done her homework, and even though her Cat..Topsy, 🐈‍⬛, was not impressed, the jigsaw is finally complete..phew🙂.

Yesterday, whilst we waited for the day to warm up a little, residents had a word game using the flip chart🪧, enjoyed a sing song🎶 and dance💃, Christine enjoyed one to one time, chatting whilst having a hand and nail pamper by Jackie🙂. Once it had warmed up a little, Daphne, Christine & Phyl enjoyed some one to one time outside in the garden. We chatted, listened to the birds singing, watched a Bumble Bee🐝 resting in the sun, relaxed and breathed in the lovely fresh air. It really was an enjoyable day...roll on summer🌞🥰

Last night Jackie, Kelsie, Cathy and Dawn took park in the Rotary Club of Congleton’s Swimathon to raise money for Beartown Rickshaw. After the hour long relay which they clocked up 100 lengths the girls were presented with medals and over £300 will be going to the very worth while charity. Thank you to everyone who sponsored the Park Lane Possy 🏊‍♀️🏊‍♀️🏊‍♀️🛺🛺🛺

Congleton Museum came on their first visit to Park Lane this morning. Della came along and introduced herself to our residents. She talked about the museum and all the exciting things we can expect over the coming months. She brought along things to see including Coronation memorabilia, a King George medal and some lovely old postcards with photos of Congleton in a time gone by. Following a game of normal patience this morning, Jackie showed Keith how to play Clock Patience🕰🃏♠️♥️♦️♣️, which he thoroughly enjoyed. It was a shame dinner time crept up on us or else we would have happily played for another couple of hours😊
