A massage stimulates your nervous system; wakes up your muscles, organs, and glands; moves blood and lymph fluid, and gets multitudes of cells to produce and release chemicals and hormones.
Your body needs a massage to renew itself and reverse the effects of stress.
A full-body massage is good for your heart as well. The vasodilation produced by massage increases your venous return which, in turn, increases blood flow and delivery of oxygen to all your organs. Your entire cardiovascular system relaxes and circulation throughout your body improves. Activation of the parasympathetic nervous system’s β€œrest and digest” mode helps regulate blood pressure and heart rate.

Mobility is the ability of a joint to move freely through a given range of motion (ROM) without restriction from surrounding tissues. Flexibility is defined as the ability of soft tissues (which include muscles, tendons and ligaments) to lengthen correctly, which allows a joint to move through its optimal ROM.
When muscles are damaged through overuse or injury there is a reduction in blood circulation that causes tightness, restriction and constriction in tissue fluidity. A more sedentary lifestyle or aging can be added factors that limit your physical ease of movement.
Massage is an effective treatment to improve blood flow that will not only help relax and heal damaged muscles but will also support improved movement and function throughout connective tissue, tendons, ligaments and joints in the body.
Regular massage can be the key to keeping yourself flexible, having full range of motion and assuring your joints move without resistance. With massage, you also protect yourself from injury that can immobilize you. Massage therapy techniques work on muscles, connective tissues, tendons, ligaments, and joints. Weight training for beginners is starting soon on a Tuesday and Thursday evening at 5.30 pm
We are starting a 4 week course in weight training for beginners. We’ll teach you how to use the machines, why we lift weights for a lean shape, and most importantly safe technique and form. All for the amazing price of Β£10 per week so less than your weekly takeaway.
What can we offer? Before and after pictures for as long as your journey with us continues, measurements, guidance with your diet and nutrition and 24/7 access to support from your PT and group.
We are keeping numbers to a maximum of 6 people so it’s a nice intimate environment working with each other, understanding how to spot your partner and learning how to train your body with progressive overload.
