After years of being closed, the Tea Hatch at Shotley Bridge Hospital has officially reopened today by Willow Burn Hospice 💚

We're very proud to bring this much-loved service back, offering refreshments to patients and staff. Whilst Willow Burn is operating the Tea Hatch, it's all thanks to Joan Littlefair [pictured left] who sought permission from the NHS Property Team, Aaron Archibald (Senior Estates Manager - NHS Property Services) and to our amazing team of volunteers.

Joan and Elizabeth have had a wonderful day today serving patients and staff, it's safe to say we have had a warm Derwentside welcome 🫶

The practice has closed for the day, and unfortunately, our system is still down. We will provide a further update tomorrow morning.

We apologise for the inconvenience this has caused to all our patients. Please be assured that the third-party providers are working hard to resolve the issue and get us back online as soon as possible.

Our system is still down. This is an issue that is effecting many surgeries. If you feel you need medical advice please contact 111. We will provide further updates when we have them. Please do not contact the surgery where possible as we will be unable to assist you. Please contact 111 if needed.
