Good morning everyone
Unfortunately due to circumstances out of our control we need to have a slight increase on the price of our treatments. Our last increase occurred in 2023. All of our operating costs have increased including insurance,, stock and utility bills, as it has for everyone.
We try to keep the increase to a minimum so subsequent appointments after initial first appointment will increase by £2.00
This will be effective from May 1st 2026

Due to staff illness, our clinic is currently busier than usual. Unfortunately, this has meant we’ve had to cancel or reschedule some appointments, and we’re very sorry for any inconvenience this has caused.

🚗 Changes to Parking at University Hospital of North Durham for Patients & Visitors from 1 May

We're making some improvements to our patient and visitor parking at the University Hospital of North Durham. This is to improve patient experience and make it easier for you to access our hospital.🏥

From Thursday the 1 May the visitor car park will move to the front section of the car park .

We are going paperless🍃

We are introducing ANPR cameras to record vehicles entering the car park meaning tickets will no longer be required.

Payment’s will still be made using the existing machines by entering your registration to calculate the amount you need to pay based on your length of stay.

Cars will not be able to exit and the barriers will not lift without making payment

Here’s what that means for you when visiting:

✅ Public parking is in the main car park on the left as you enter from the roundabout
📸 Your number plate will be recorded automatically when you enter
🕒 You’ll have 20 minutes to find a space before charges apply
💳 Pay at the machine by entering your vehicle registration number
🚪 After paying, you’ll have 20 minutes to exit
💳 Contactless payment is now available at our pay machines and also available at the exit for convenience

Blue Badge Parking

Designated parking bays are available for Blue Badge holders.

To qualify for free parking, please ensure:
✅You park in a designated Blue Badge space
✅Your badge is clearly displayed
✅You scan your Blue Badge at the payment machine before leaving.

We understand that changes to parking can take some time to get used to, but these improvements aim to make your visit easier, faster, and more accessible.

If you need to reschedule your appointment due to these weather conditions please let us know

All the main roads seem fine this morning, the paths are very icy and the main Albert Road car park is pretty much a no go zone, although I have been told it will be cleared by the council at some point today
Hopefully the snow will begin to melt but please take care and don’t worry if you need to reschedule 💚💚💚
