Just a little reminder, you’re allowed to slow down, say no, and choose what’s right for you. Your energy matters, give yourself permission to take care of it. 💜

Growing up, I struggled to find my place. Neither Black nor white, I never felt a sense of belonging, which was exacerbated by the bullying I endured throughout school. I also carried the weight of dyslexia. Crippled by low self-esteem, I settled for less in all areas of my life, my relationships, m...

Sometimes the hardest part is finding the words.

That is why we have compiled scripts that you can copy and adapt, whether you’re seeking clarity, setting a boundary, or reminding others of your needs. 💜

Use them today, tomorrow, or save them for your future self. There’s no “right” time to advocate for yourself. 🙏

Have you noticed a dip in your mood or energy lately? The shift in weather could be the culprit. 🌡

The changes in light, temperature, or air pressure can impact energy, mood, and motivation. So, if you've been feeling slightly "under the weather" lately (pardon the pun!), it's just your body adapting to its environment.

Next time you feel more tired, flat, or restless with the weather, remember:
- It's valid
- It's not your fault
- You're allowed to adapt and be gentler with yourself

Save this post for the days you need a reminder. 💜

It's invisible disabilities awareness week this week. A cause very close to This Is Me Agency and the clients we support. 💜

Every day, millions of people walk through the world carrying invisible experiences like chronic pain, neurodivergence, mental health needs, long-term conditions like fibromyalgia, long COVID, or digestive or neurological differences. They may look “fine,” but their bodies and minds are asking for accommodations, empathy, and healing.

This week is our reminder to slow down, to see what’s not always seen. If you live with an invisible disability, your needs deserve respect, rest, and uncompromising care. If you support someone with one, your listening matters more than you think. 🙏

You deserve workplaces that honour your needs. 🙏💜 Save this post to support future you.

Interesting article highlighting the impact of long waits and reductions in funding and the detrimental effects!!

We will continue to fight for the best support packages we can to help our clients in their work!

Many disabled workers face the threat of losing their jobs or businesses because of long waits for government grants.

It’s the little acts of kindness like this that remind us how much our support is valued. ☺️ It always brightens our day.

Language affects how people feel about themselves, about others, and about the spaces they enter. We believe inclusive language isn’t about being “politically correct”, it’s about creating safety, dignity, and belonging.

Here's your reminder to:
✔️ Use person-first or identity-affirming language, depending on what someone prefers (e.g. “autistic person” vs. “person with autism”). Always ask, don't assume.

✔️ Avoid labels that reduce someone to a condition or diagnosis.

✔️ Swap out terms like “suffering from” or “struggling with” for neutral alternatives, such as “living with” or just naming the condition.

Use plain, human language. Words don’t need to be clinical to be respectful.

Inclusive language isn’t about perfection; it’s about intention. It’s about slowing down, listening, and respecting how people describe themselves. 🙏💜

How do you practice inclusive language in your everyday life or workplace?

Hi, Beth here! 👋

If you’re neurodivergent and work in a busy office, you’ll probably know how easily the environment itself can work against you.

One thing that really helps me is wearing noise-cancelling headphones. They don’t cut me off from people, but they help block out any background noise to help me stay focused and avoid overwhelm.

Balance is important for me. I want to be present and connected, but I also know my sensory needs are real and valid. Using my headphones are one of the little tools that make work more manageable.

If you’ve ever felt unsure about using something that helps you cope, whether it’s headphones, a fidget tool, or something else, here’s your reminder that it’s not about being antisocial. It’s about creating the environment that works best for you. 💜
