This quote says so much about healing.
With stress, tinnitus, or chronic pain, many people try to cope by shutting things down or pushing through. But real change often begins when the nervous system feels safe enough to respond differently.
This is the space I hold in my work as a sophrologist.
This could be the year you stop running and finally face yourself. The year you realize that the safety you've built in solitude has become the very cage keeping you from what you want.
You've gotten so good at protecting yourself that you've forgotten what it feels like to be truly met. So good at managing triggers that you've built a life small enough to never need anyone. So skilled at self-soothing that you've convinced yourself connection is optional.
But here's what happens when you stay: the right people don't feel like a threat to your nervous system—they feel like proof that it's safe to stop performing your healing alone. The vulnerability you've been avoiding becomes the very thing that sets you free. And the version of yourself you've been white-knuckling into existence finally relaxes into someone real.
2026 isn't about becoming someone new. It's about stopping the exhausting work of staying hidden and letting yourself be found. That's when everything you want stops feeling so far away.
