I was honoured to help a family say farewell to a most wonderful lady in life, who had a real passion for dogs and horses. Below is a quote that the family left for me.
Peter I just want to say that we have both been really moved by what you have written and we r really grateful of your skills, thought and consideration in writing this service. It's really moving and beautiful. I think it's very easy to not value people's skills though Peter, and also culturally we are not good around death in the UK.

As we said farewell to a real gent and a family man he was escorted into the crem by over 150 bikers in the full regalia of helmets, leathers and biker boots. Riding everything thing from a little 125cc up to a 2000cc speed machine, on everything from a Honda to a Harley Davidson, it was a truly amazing sight to see. They turned out in their huge numbers to pay their last respects to a gent of the Open Road.

A most lovely man, someone who put the word gentle into the word gentleman. This was how we only describe our brother. He was in the Merchant Navy for over 40 plus years having joined as a cabin boy at just 15 years old. As a Chief Steward he was highly rated in everything he did, serving both the well heeled and the rich and famous. It was a real honour for me to help his family say a last farewell to an amazing brother and uncle, someone who loved the world and travel. Good night and God Bless Sir, safe travels.

It was a truly beautiful spring day today as we bade farewell and said goodbye to a real gentleman in life. He had dedicated so much of his life to both dogs and horses and simply could not pass one of them without giving them a stroke or a tickle, or even better, giving them one of the many treats that his pockets were always filled with. A burial was his choice and in a graveyard of his choice with the warmth of the sun and the daffodils waving in the wind. Goodnight and God Bless Sir.

He was a most wonderful gentleman of times gone by. A retired Police Officer, who braved the streets and the elements. But most of all, a wonderful family man who meant the world to him. Always thinking of others first, a gent of the highest order, he is now reunited with his loving son once more. Thank you sir, for all you have been and still are to us all.

Today I was honoured to assist a family say farewell to their most wonderful son and brother. A quiet man who loved the open air and the countryside, his dogs, ducks and horses. The music was all his, the pictures were amazing and documented his life from being a cute baby in a cot. Goodnight and God Bless kind sir.

And so the final service of the year out on the beautiful island of Anglesey. A service dedicated to a wonderful man who had many stages in his life, but most of all he brought up three wonderful daughters, each one like him, a strong person in their own right. A man who saw computers as the future for the average man in the street, how right he was.

A word of thanks from the family of a nurse who dedicated her life to caring for others. Thank you so much and it was a real honour to lead mum's Celebration of Life.

You captured the essence of everything so gently and thoughtfully, and it felt as though you truly understood the stories, memories, and feelings we were trying to honour. Your ability to hold the room with such calm sincerity is something we are incredibly grateful for. Thank you so much for guiding us through what was a very sad and difficult time, and for doing so with such care.

A few words in a text from the mum of a young man I had the honour to take the service for this last week- ' Thank you Peter for looking after us and ###x today. I think God made sure we had the best service and that you were the one to do it.'

Over the weekend I took a small but very beautiful memorial service for a lady whose own wishes were that following a direct cremation, all her family and friends should have a good old knees up in a local pub. The amazing thing was that there were a couple of 'locals' in the pub having a pint at the time and they too throughly enjoyed the celebration of mums life also. Cheers, eat drink and be merry!

I led the celebration of life today of a most beautiful lady. Sadly, and for whatever reason, life become too much for her. The chapel was full to overflowing with friends and wonderful family who all turned out in pink to say farewell. Goodnight and God Bless, we shall never forget you.
