It was a truly wonderful afternoon this week as we celebrated the life of one amazing lady who had brought up her children in an amazing way, taking them to Glastonbury in their teens, and then along with the love of her life she later travelled widely visiting all seven continents plus all of the seven wonders of the world. It was a most beautiful moment when the local choir she was a member of, honoured her by coming along and singing Bridge over Troubled Waters during the service. A real celebration of her life.

It was a great honour for me to be asked to say farewell yesterday to a gentleman who was a lifelong member of CAMRA (Campaign for Real Ale.) He was someone who lived, breathed, and drank the nectar of the gods, real beer that continues to ferment until it is poured. He was also an avid collector of Breweriana , all things to do with beer, pubs and people, and we were all fortunate enough to ring the Bangor Bell as we bade this true gent farewell. Time please gentlemen, time !!

Yesterday was the time for a 90 year old lady to be reunited with her husband of 70 plus years, as we laid her to rest in the wonderful sunshine of beautiful North Wales. We had celebrated her life just prior including words, music and pictures of her as an expert ballroom dancer, for which she won many awards. After the committal a cousin of the lady came up to me and told me that as a religious lady and church goer, she had never been to a service led by a celebrant before. She was totally delighted with everything and astounded at how everything was focussed on the deceased, even though we had still heard Psalm 23 and said the Lord's Prayer.

Today was a really special day as we celebrated the life of a lady who was 94 years young. Living life through WW 2 she learned to love everything about life, even the glamour of The Ritz dance hall in Manchester. As we played a favourite piece of music of hers part way through the service, the whole congregation got up and began to dance to La Bamba. It was a true honour and a real smile was on everyone’s face as we left.

It was truly a lovely day yesterday as we bade farewell to one amazing lady in life. 'Nan' loved her caravan in Wales, in fact with her husband for many years it was her life, where she loved the company, her ciggies and a glass of something stronger. During yesterdays celebration of her life, we paused for a moment whilst the Funeral Director served us all with a small tot of port, we then all stood in her honour and then it was Cheers and down the hatch for Nan.

Yesterday was a most wonderful day, the sun shone and the birds sang in the background as we laid a most beautiful lady of 102 years to rest in a grave, where her dear husband had already lain for some time. People and family attended in their numbers to wish this lovely lady farewell. There were were few tears as the soloist led the singing of the hymns, she has lived a long and fabulous life and is now joyfully rejoined again with the love of her life. It truly was an honour to lead this lady's service.

When a most lovely family have just lost their loved one, and they take the time and trouble to send you the below...

This service is wonderful and so much more than we could have ever hoped for. You have captured his life in a way that even his family are surprised. This is wonderful. Thank you so much Peter you truly do have a gift. Thank you.

And the sun continued to shine yesterday at the Celebration of Life of a most wonderful Granny. Her family were number one to her, travel came a close second and lastly was the Thrill Seeker she was. In her later years everything from hang gliding to piloting a micro light were just some of the amazing feats she carried out. We were also treated to some amazing pictures of her Wing Walking in her 76th year, hundreds of feet up in the air at a couple of hundred miles an hour, certainly not for the feint hearted. Good night and God Bless Granny.

In today’s most beautiful sunshine we said goodbye to a most wonderful gentleman, a loyal and loving husband and dad and granddad to four lovely ladies. In the past he was a professional footballer for The Clarets, Burnley in Lancashire. A quiet and simple service but surrounded by the love and comfort of his beautiful family. Good night and God Bless Sir.

Friday just gone was the day I was honoured to help the family of Mr John Jones say goodbye to him in a fabulous celebration of his life. I don't name people except with the express permission of his family who have allowed me to post one of John's brilliant little ditty's below. John was an outstanding husband, dad and grandad, with an amazing sense of humour as well as a great love of music. Enjoy the below as much as his family and friends did on the day.

50 Shades of No-Way

Her ad looked alluring, charming yet racy
She was looking for fun and her name was Tracy

I asked her what she thought of fifty shades of grey?
She said she was adventurous, and she liked a little play.

To say she was disappointed was understated to be fair

When I told her I didn’t mean the book, I meant my flippin’ hair!

Sadly yesterday we said goodbye to a beautiful young lady of 21 years who had a most loving partner and two gorgeous children. Days like this are difficult for us all, but we were also able to celebrate her outstanding life in all that she has done, we did so with many of the thousands of pictures she has of her little one and family together. Each day was a new challenge for her, a day to be loved and revered. We salute you as you now climb that hill to be in a far better. Good night and God Bless K.

A week or so ago, we said goodbye to a most wonderful gentleman, a kind but fun loving man, especially with the animals who he loved. But Roy had grown up the hard way and learned what life was truly all about as a police officer in Manchester. Today I received a lovely card from his dear lady wife who had taken the time and trouble to write in there some of the comments below from other people attending Roy's celebration of Life. Thank you so much, it was truly and honour to help you all say farewell to Roy.
