Emotions are like colours on the canvas of our lives. They come in all shades – some bright and vibrant, others deep and subtle. Whether we label them as 'good' or 'bad,' each emotion serves a purpose and offers us valuable insight into our inner world.

From the joy of celebration to the depths of sadness, every feeling guides us, shapes us, and connects us. By leaning into our feelings and acknowledging our emotional landscape, we develop a deeper understanding of ourselves, our needs, this helps us to move through difficult times as well embracing the good.

You don’t have to be positive all the time. It’s perfectly okay to feel sad, angry, annoyed, frustrated, scared and anxious. Having these feelings doesn’t make you a negative person. It makes you human.

Personally, for me, phrases such as Good Vibes Only & Everything Happens For a Reason can serve as phrases that dismiss our difficulties and feelings, though I do get they have a place for some. However I would always suggest acknowledging the feelings and the reasons for these before deciding what to do with these.

It's important to remember that everyone makes mistakes and experiences feelings of shame or guilt at times, but these feelings don't define our worth as individuals.

Don’t forget to check your stress bucket.
Take moments to consider your stressors, is there a different way you could manage or reduce these?

Take time to pour out tension through self care-exercise, journaling, unplugging from screens or anything else that will invite a little calm time in your life.

Feeling irritated is natural at times, but if it's becoming overwhelming, consider taking a break, pressing pause on life, engaging in activities that you enjoy, practicing deep breathing, or talking to someone about your feelings.

Sometimes saying things out aloud to someone else can take the heat of things, sometimes sitting in a quiet dark room is what’s needed.
