Sports injuries, both old and new can be treated effectively with acupuncture.
Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) works on the basis of treating the existing pain, referral pain and chronic and acute pain by strengthening the ligaments, tendons, muscle and bones. Our aim is to recreate balance in the body.

TCM uses a host of modalities to treat pain, including acupuncture, electro-acupunture, cupping, gua sha and moxa (herbal heat treatment). We also have tinctures, herbal rubs and remedies that date back thousands of years.

I have patients aged 15 and those aged over 80 who feel the benefit of acupuncture.
If you haven't tried acupuncture before and fear the needling process, rest assured that the insertion of needles rarely creates significant pain. Acupuncturists have been trained extensively in needling techniques to ensure your comfort is paramount.

After 2 years of suffering with Benign Vertigo, Thomas has made remarkable progress!!

The debilitating condition made an indelible mark on Thomas' quality of life. His vertigo showed up as unpredictable episodes of severe nausea, palpitations and an overwhelming feeling that he was going to pass out.

His ability to go on long runs was put on hold, his confidence in bringing his youngest child on excursions was affected and he even felt nervous nipping to the shop.

After just four acupuncture sessions and a course of herbal treatment, Thomas' quality of life has improved immensely.

Advanced Fertility Training with .support has been amazing! It has provided a beautiful combination of both modern based science and Traditional Chinese Medicine in the study of a very complex subject.

Been treating this a lot in clinic recently!!! Getting great results too!!
So many variations, ranging from chronic dry coughs, to acute and painful. Some with heavy expectorant, some with none at all.

The beauty of Chinese medicine is that it assesses the individual's presenting signs and symptoms, treating accordingly. Often we identify too much heat in the body, too much phlegm and damp or too much cold. Treatment includes an overview of nutritional options to support recovery and healing.

Acupuncture should be considered as a course of treatment, in the same way that you might take a course of antibiotics.
It has a cumulative effect, meaning that each treatment build upon the last treatment. That's where the magic happens✨

We aim for a few weekly sessions and then these are usually phased out over a period of time.

Of course, everyone is assessed on their own needs, specific symptoms, duration of the condition and response to treatment. Therein lies the beauty of acupuncture. No two treatments are ever the same. Every single session is tailored to how you are feeling at that time.

And like many things in life, we need to commit to see the results.

No it's not witchcraft! In fact, there are thousands of science based randomised controlled trails (RCTs) that demonstrate the effectiveness of acupuncture.

These Gold Standard tests have shown time and again that acupuncture is an effective treatment modality for many conditions ranging from; pain management to hormone regulation to emotional support.

The reason for this, is the release of "feel good" hormones that needle stimulation provides.

Very few can deny that slightly "high" feeling that acupuncture offers. It has to be experienced to be believed 😁

If you haven't had some sort of dose recently, chances are you know someone who has. In many cases it stubborn. Almost impossible to shake off. Symptoms coming and going for months. It's exhausting. I bet you haven't considered acupuncture as a treatment option!!

Did you know that acupuncture is excellent for treating colds and flus. Particular points in the body are needled depending on your specific signs and symptoms. Whether it's a red painful throat, dry persistent cough, phlegm in the lungs that just won't go away or an on/off headache that lingers for days, acupuncture is your friend.
