In the health field there are many theories and misconceptions regarding nutrients , supplements and testing !!

I'll give you an example !

Vitamin C in nature is part of a complex molecular structure that contains other antioxidants such as bioflavonoids , acerola , hisperidin and the mineral selenium !

Ascorbic acid (Vit c ) as we usually buy it is only one part of the synergistic compound !

Comparing Vit C to Vit C complex
Is like comparing a wheel nut to a wheel!

Omega 3 fats found in oily fish contain protective antioxidants called fluorotannins from the algae that protect them through the food chain!

These are lost in most fish oils when they are extracted !

Zinzino's balance oil is the one fish oil supplement I recommend as it contains polyphenols that replicate nature's fluorotannins!

The same goes for some companies who promote their nutritional blood testing !

These tests are great , however, they only test a small percentage of what can possibly be out of balance in the individuals body !

This alone is not sufficient for many to regain their health!

According to Dr Ben Lynch , the author of Dirty Genes , there are now over 120 million chemicals in the world !

The field of epigenetics , where our environmental toxic load including chemicals , pathogens and parasites which influences our health has exploded !

Our body's were never designed to deal with this level of toxicity !

So, if you aren't Testing you are Guessing!!

Genetic tests are great to see what your genetic predispositions are !

However they can't tell what your current issues are !

Blood tests are invaluable but only show up when your body is significantly diseased !

So, what's the solution ?

I use a variety of blood tests and functional testing !

This last 2 years though I have been using The Oberon Bioresonance machine !

Using a blood , hair or nail sample ( on which a hologram of the physical and emotional body is imprinted ) I can detect energetic imbalances in the organ systems, pathogens and deficiencies !

I can test supplements to see what's compatible with the body and design a diet and supplement program that suits the individual!

Our genes dictate that One Size Does not fit all!!

I believe that with 26 years in the field of natural medicine and using the Oberon system / functional testing I am another step closer than most in determining someone's
health issues and helping them resolve them !

Love this video as it pertains to most professions including my own as a Naturopath!

I've been practising naturopathy and gut health since 1999.

24 years studying and working with thousands of clients with great results but it's a crowded playing field and often people can end up being deceived!

Gut health as I am sure you may have noticed has recently become the "in vogue " topic of the day !

Suddenly anyone and everyone is a gut health expert .

So those with very little experience watch a few videos and suddenly they are gut health experts often recommending products that may not be appropriate for someone's gut health issues and may in fact exacerbate symptoms their symptoms !

There is no one size fits all.
It is an extremely complex subject As our gut is affected by our diet , medications , genetic factors , stress , toxins etc .

Only an extremely experienced and knowledgable practitioner can guide you through this minefield !

So, be careful who you watch and where you spend your hard earned money .

Spending money aimlessly on health products without proper guidance is a quick way of going broke.
You maybe lucky and hit the bullseye and your symptoms resolve.... however, it's more likely you won't even hit the dartboard.

The old saying "you get what you pay for is very true".

Did you know that cardiovascular disease which includes heart attacks , strokes etc is still the leading cause of death in the U.K. and Ireland ?

Did you know that high cholesterol levels ( unless high single or double digits) plays an insignificant role in causing blocked arteries and as such is a poor measure of risk and outcomes !

Some of the main factors contributing causes to cardiovascular issues are:

Excess inflammation from low omega 3 fats!
Insulin resistance from high blood sugars
Arterial calcium deposits
Low Vit D

So are you at risk?

Risk factors of course include:

Smoking
Diabetes
Obesity
Hereditary factors
Diet rich in omega 6 seed oils( margarines) causing inflammation
Diet rich in sugars and carbs
Lack of exercise
Diet lacking in omega 3 fats and antioxidants !

So, how can you find out your risk ?

My advanced cardio screening allows me to test:

Your omega 3 : 6 and 11 other fatty acids through a balance test.

You body's reaction to sugar by measuring AGE's in haemoglobin using an Hb1c test.

Your Vit D status with Vit D testing

Your arterial stiffness and circulation via the state of the art Arteriograph!

By getting tested and implementing a healthy lifestyle and supplement regime this can be halted and in many cases reversed!

For example my first omega 3 test showed my fats 28:1 instead of 3:1.
After incorporating the right omega 3 supplement my fats improved to 10:1 in 10 weeks!

When I measured my artery stiffness in 2018 it was a high 10.7m/s .. that's equivalent to 80 plus .
I just stopped smoking that Christmas !

Measured in January it was down to 8.7m/s , that of a 47 year old!

My Hb1c was 29mmol
Pre- pandemic it was 44mmol( borderline type2 diabetes).

Vit d 73mmol.. well within safe levels !
