On my retirement.
Thank you so much to everyone for the cards, gifts and good wishes. I am overwhelmed by all of it!
So many of you have talked about events that have been important to you over the years and that has brought back lots of memories for me.
It’s a very different practice and a very different NHS to the one I joined so many years ago. We have many more patients and work in a completely different way now, but I hope you feel we have always been able to keep a patient centred ethos.
I have only been able to keep going for so long because of support from family, from the other doctors, nurses, Charlene and reception staff.
It has been a privilege to work with all my current and past colleagues, but above all it’s been a privilege to have been able to have you all as my patients.
I couldn’t have had a better career or worked in a better practice.
As a fellow GP has written, I truly have been fortunate.
Best wishes and immense thanks to you all!

Flu vaccines for eligible patients are still available-please ring to make an appointment and protect yourself this flu season.

Stay well this winter and help stop the spread😷🦠

📌Take common sense steps to reduce the spread of flu and other similar illnesses by exercising good respiratory and hand hygiene and staying away from others if you have symptoms.

📌Self-care is often the best choice to treat minor illnesses. Pharmacists are qualified to give advice about different health matters, including minor illnesses, so consider speaking to a pharmacist before going to your GP.

📌And if eligible get your flu vaccine, COVID-19 vaccine and RSV vaccine.

The latest respiratory report shows influenza activity has again increased across all surveillance indicators.

Flu is spreading, you can help stop the spread by:
• Washing your hands regularly
• Catching coughs and sneezes in a tissue
• Minimising contact with others
• Getting vaccinated if you are eligible
