On 22 January 2026, Defra, working with the Devolved Governments, launched a UK wide public consultation on domestic solid fuel burning, seeking views on further measures to reduce fine particulate matter (PM2.5) and smoke emissions from wood and other solid fuels. The consultation includes proposals on:

• New emission limits for solid fuel appliances, including wood burning stoves
• New mandatory labelling for solid fuel appliances and fuels, including health impact information

The consultation runs from 22 January to 19 March 2026. Responses are encouraged via Citizen Space at https://consult.defra.gov.uk/domestic-burning/consultation-on-solid-fuel-burning/

Sore Inner Elbow After Golf?

A client came in tonight with a sore arm after recently taking up Golf. After assessment, it was consistent with Medial epicondylitis — commonly called Golfer’s Elbow.
I treated the area with sports massage and gave rehab exercises and after - care advice to help recovery.
Early intervention like this makes a big difference — get it checked before it becomes a long-term issue!

Last week, I had a young athlete in for a full-body pre-event massage ahead of her weekend competition. Proper preparation is essential when it comes to performance, and this session was focused on getting her body fully competition-ready.
I worked through all major muscle groups to increase circulation, improve mobility, and activate the muscles without causing fatigue. Pre-event massage helps enhance neuromuscular readiness, reduce the risk of injury, and ensure you step into competition feeling loose, focused, and prepared.
